It would appear that right now there exists the best chance, for around a week, that The old Festival will go ahead. It’s now 1/5 to be ‘on’.

Certainly the signs are good re the media as at the end of the first half of ‘Corrie’, last night, ITV did a 30 second promo re the meet and TalkSPORT is, this morn, awash with bookie chappie adverts for the 4 days.

Yes feels as though it could be the last great event before the country shuts down

I shall be in London tomorrow working...bet I see more people wearing face masks..:emoticon-0105-wink:.

The 2 people in Gloucestershire are from Tetbury. School teacher and friend. Both recently came back from northern Italy.

Full steam ahead for the festival and hopefully the Grand National will survive too.

hard to predict after that at this stage I suppose, but I do think we will see a shutdown at some point.

I give it a fortnight before we’ve all found something else to worry about. Drought, probably

Looks like a 160 performance should be enough to win the Champion Hurdle this year.

Yep, I can't for the life of me see any of the geldings running to above 160 (unless Pentland Hills suddenly discovers how to finish a race). I'll be hoping my only ante post snifter on Coeur Sublime at 25s e/w yields a place return. But in all honesty I think Epatante could be the one. G and Ts all round, what, what?

It looks a substandard Champion Hurdle this year but I agree Epatante is the one to beat.
Tempted by Ballyandy too ew at a big price

Yep Ballyandy will run a solid race and has festival form. Over-priced.

Very open Champion Hurdle and anything could happen...so many different scenarios really.. Last year's trainer Gavin Cromwell might have a lively each way shout in Darver Star- not heard anyone talk about him!. Supasundae could run a huge race especially if it comes up soft and has very good form around Cheltenham which obviously counts for a lot. If comes up good to soft I would be tempted to side with Sharjah..

Because of this cough? Or something else? Have you had a tip off?

No I saw an interview with Henderson. He said he had a cough and wasn’t happy with his work but I could be binocular pt 2. You never know with him.

Coeur Sublime got his windy done recently and Russell was saying he's the best work horse in the yard.I'm thinking of backing it Ew.I watched some of the Unibet preview and Hendo said all five of his runners 'are going well', cheers Lieutenant!!

I actually think the bet in the race is Petit Mouchoir 'Tote Place' - bit exotic that bet and not sure it has ever been mentioned on any of these forums before. May not be up to winning but some of his place form, this term, gives him a real chance of getting in 'the 3'. Likely to get decent odds as well.

In the Champion Chase I'd say smilar things about Dynamite Dollars.

Looks like no chance of good ground at Cheltenham. Lots of rain forecast over the next couple of days between Sunday and Monday 10 mil on saturated ground. Tuesday looks dry but more rain Wednesday and Thursday.
