Anyway, enough about the loser. Synchronised's win in the Gold Cup the highlight of the day, even though I wanted Kauto to win.

Following On the Firnge being a NR I now have a win double. This is the first day of the festival I've been down. Only Oscar Nominee and De Boitron can change that

I've backed Bourne and Toner D'Oudairies in the next at Cheltenham - 2m4f looks to be the optimum trip for both.

De Boitron in the last, otherwise it's "Go To Gaol" (if so, hopefully out for the "Whitbread" GC). Fantastic Cheltenham, although no luck betting-wise. C'est la vie!

All Toner D'Oudairies needed was a good jump at the last, couldn't even flipping manage that.

like quel and rv i'm going to be taking a break from the gigi's for a while-cheltenham has been good to me in the past but have not had the greatest of festivels-like some of lads i'm dissapointed with some of the rides this week especially from Ruby walsh and cant say i enjoyed it as much as i would have liked too-will pop in from time to time for alook and post any decent tips that might come my way but need to take a break from it for a while-well done to all those who had a good festivel.this is a really good site and there are some sound people on here so credit to ron and the regular lads keeping it going.keep up the good word and chat soon again some time

Has anyone actually backed a handicap winner all week? I've had Sprinter Sacre, Quevega, Simonsig, Champagne Fever, Big Bucks and Brindisi Breeze but I have been rubbish in the handicaps - despite a few favs going in - Hunt Ball, Teaforthree, Salut Flo and Sunnyhillboy.

Got Brindisi at 10/1, Countrywide Flame at 33/1 and Ataglance at 25/1.

Fancy Renard to run a big race here but hard to go against McCoy.
