Bob, Ryan Hatch banned for 9 days and fined £400 for the Same Difference ride. Would it have made a difference?
Not a bit...the second needed blinkers..that may have made the difference..he was carrying his head right the whole way up the straight ogling the crowd/camera truck...thats not to say he's ungenuine,he battled on gamely. Best horse was third but the winner won the driving finish on merit.
Couldn't agree more Oddy, way better prep this year than last and everything is in order for a huge run and cheekpieces another huge positive as he has been screaming out for them. Price too big, should be 5/2 imo.
I'd disagree Dex. if you get done for a whip ban in a bob finish it's certainly feasible that over use of the whip allowed one to finish in front of the other and I certainly think the best horse was Super Duty.
STH Long Run should be 5/2? I'd love to be able to bet into your book. I'm against Bob's Worth all day long tomorrow.
Delighted for Barry Cash. Hasn't hardly been heard of since losing the Brave Inca ride to Tony McCoy after winning the Supreme Novices on him a good few years ago. Staggered at his price given his form line with the favourite.
It's a sticky debate Bob..for my money, the winner should be disqualified if the rules are broken otherwise what is the point in having them?
Bob who are you on in the GC? Prob a bit extreme with my pricing but i think if get's around safe he will win the race, all about opinions though isn't it. He may fall at the first!
Was a stone better off with Uncle Junior and Bostons Angel who he beat a mile last time, 3 pounds better of with Arabella Boy for a length, was the bet of the day at the prices for me. Ive always had Arabella Boy down as a non stayer.
three seconds was the best i had today, super duty getting done on the line killed me.very sweet on salsify and bobs worth tomo.fatman yard not in form n dont fancy sire de champs
Couldn't agree more Dex! Can you get onto Paddy and tell him to give me my £1500. STH - I don't dislike Long Run I just think he's an each way bet if anything. I was speaking to my best mate about this all week. He's backed him each way heavily at 6's. I like the bet if he was 10/1. Your 5/2 is so far from my own assessment that it's almost laughable we've got such different takes on the same races. I think he'll run very well but may have to be better than last year to win it and i'm not sure if he will. I can't have Bob's Worth on my mind after his prep has been so disjointed. I'm also fairly sure there's something amiss with the Henderson yard. They aren't firing bar Sprinter (very much like Mullins last year where everything was useless bar Quevega until SDC won the Jewson). SDC may be capable of winning but what has he actually beaten? Flemenstar doesn't stay so no matter what way you look at it it's not top class 3m 2f form for me. Last years Jewson looked weak pre race and weaker post. 4/1 is based on trainer, reputation and certainly not attainment thus far albeit he could be as good as they say in which case he'll win. A value play for me is The Giant Bolster each way. If i can get 20/1 I might back him for a little bit of money. He's no superstar but he's done it before hasn't he and is 2 and a half times the price of Long Run. I'm not confident at all in any of them and won't be getting carried away. Minimum stakes if i do get involved.
