Way to go Sire De Grugy and Jamie Moore! A real family success, am all choked-up............(cos it's my first winner at the meeting too).................

(Jamie said, the horse hates Cheltenham, hates fast ground, yet he still won it).

WOW Impressive win well done those on Sire de Grugy. Objectively speaking it probably was a pants CC he's won but he's beat them hollow. Thought the bookies were laying him a bit big at 10-30

Dunno about you guys but I don't think I've ever seen any sort of 'jockeys guard of honour' before, have you? Jamie must be an incredibly popular bloke..................

Betfair were offering stake back as a free bet if the fav wins (upto £25), so got a free bet that I've placed on SOLAR IMPULSE at 25/1 in the Fred Winter. I believe that Harry Derham is one win away from losing his claiming allowance and it is interesting that he was booked on this despite jocking up earlier on today. Solar Impulse ran an interesting race at Kempton behind ACTIVIAL, travelling well at the head of affairs before weakening late on. He was in front of Goodwood Mirage that day and is actually 3lb better off with that rival, so for me 25/1 looked like they might have priced him up generously. With the ground pretty quick, he might be suited by ravcing prominently and he looks as fairly handicapped as any, especially given some of these are French-bred and likely to need further and soft ground.

Faugheen, Whisper and SDG have made my day. Carlingford Lough I was certain was going to run way better than that. Ah well, probably the best returns I've ever had on one day at Cheltenham.

    Sire Collonges
    Katgary
    Killultagh Vic

In a small ew patent just forfun in today's last 3 races.
