Paddy get's first pick on any bumper horse GGW, Willie Mullins has a firm belief that bumpers should be left strictly to Amateur jockey's and therfore Paddy get's first choice on any Mullins bumper horse.

Belting run from REGAL ENCORE and a cracking return for my ante post wagers today. Shame McCoy decided he needed to travel an extra half furlong, bring back Rachel Green all is forgiven!

Srick dont want to get carried away but the twistos surely have a champion hurdle prospect on their hands. was very impressed, knew he'd imporve for the ground but was even better than I thought he'd be.

George, I cant begin to tell you how dissapointed I was when this boy lost to AT FISHERS CROSS but on decent ground today he has come good and thumped a very small but select field. In retrospect his defeat was probably down to tactics in that ground, after all he slammed a decent field on heavy at Warwick so its not like he doesnt go on soft.
I was pretty confident as I think you all know that he was the real deal and he has proved it today. It will be interesting to see at the end of week which of the novice hudlers attains the highest rating.
I am not sure where his trip will be and he could be another Oscar Whisky who is caught between two stools though I do believe that my fella has pace to burn. I dont see him as a chaser but he could yet prove as effective over three miles. It will be interesting to hear Twisters thoughts as to where he will be aimed at next year.

I was going to ask before Cheltenham who the regulars on here thought would be the leading novice chaser next year. I am sure there will be a lot of opinions!

Thanks everyone for the messages. A day that will live long in my memory!

He is a Champion Hurdler Stick- no doubts. Pace, turn of foot, would stay 2m strongly. All the credentials.

The horse who finished second today is going to be the best Novice Chaser by some distance imo.

Mouse Morris has had War Of Attrition and Flight Lieutenant run in these festival novice events before going to greater heights over fences.

In fact I'd rather own him than the winner with a long term view!..beautiful beast.

Maybe we should make a thread of this and visit it this time next year.

MELODIC RENDEZVOUS for me. The old line applies "anything he did over hurdles was just a bonus"!

The cross-country is being run tomorrow as the last race on the card - does that mean the stupid ****ing stable lads Derby or whatever its called is scrapped?

The Melodic Rendezvous hurdle form has been badly let down by Puffin Billy,Pendra,Mr Mole and Eduard.

However, that means little once he tackles the big ones but I'd be staggered if he was the Champion Novice Chaser next season given the talent going chasing.

I've been staggered before mind you!..not often though.
