Well Jacko was quite specific that it was a hip problem that he had to see a specialist about. I'll take his word for it and would be extremely disappointed if it wasn't true.
New Covid infections in the UK today are the lowest for over a month And no this is not on the wrong thread………I just need something to cheer me up
Chuks has cheered me up or at least saved me from utter despair I don't think he should be starting games though. He has a bigger effect off the bench. If Jacko can't get a tune out of this collection of invertebrate players though, he ain't going to get his contract renewed. Harsh, but shrewd of TS in my view. It seems clear we DO need a summer 2011 style mass clear-out this coming summer.
I missed this one as well, got home near the end, but have read the reports and it doesn't look good. We seem to be poor away from home without the fans, and that doesn't say much for the character of the team. Curbs always looked at players away from home to see how they played.
It doesn’t sadly as it doesn’t change the bare facts that we are not good enough. If Chuks can manage 90 minutes regularly, that would help. In that case he may be able to save us from relegation, but let’s see what happens with his fitness. Fair play to him today though
I must have had a few too many yesterday, I was convinced I watched Aneke `play 95 minutes and still be fit enough to score an equaliser in the last one. Amid all the bitterness about another naff performance, there were positives out there besides Aneke. Morgan looked okay, and delivered some decent set pieces which we failed to profit from, while Dodson continues to impress. On the downside, Clare had an absolute nightmare and seemed incapable of realising the red shirts were the opposition. The entire defence looked highly vulnerable, while Lee looked anonymous at times, and the youngster Burstow might as well not have been selected. I'm sure he'll come good, but he isn't in any way ready yet. Davison never made the bench, which was a shame as I'd have swapped him and Bairstow at half time. It's simply a rebuild season now. I think Aneke looks like a good signing - he caused them problems all match. But we need creativity in there. I found it frustrting the number of times we broke via Matthews but he never had anyone ahead to pass to and was forced to turn back. Not a good afternoon, but we stalled the losing streak. opefully we get Washington back next weekend.
