Haha. Nah, day one is just for multiples for a bit of fun for me this year but fair play if he has a good first day, the opposition doesn't look upto much in the novices but I think Jezki will retain his Champion crown as he will peak on the day and I like Josses Hill as a surprise in the Arkle, IF he can sharpen up his jumping. I'm at work most of the week so won't see days one or two this year but might be fortunate enough to catch the Thursday and Friday.
The big favs on day one, Douvan, Un De So, and Faugheen all look monumental place lays to me, Anne Power a win lay. Tremendous value there against these dodgepots.
Day 1's the best day by a mile but maybe not for you lol Doubt Faugheen will be troubled by either Jezki or TNO tbh, and I've been saying it since the day he won over 2m at Punchestown! Think he'll prove different class to both of them, fine horses as they are but you just TNO will hit that flat spot down the hill again so Jezki would be the one for the forecast. They'll go some to get near the machine anyway Josses Hill for the Arkle... You're taking the piss now mate aren't you?!!!
Lol Boris, gone fishing I see Reel em in boy! By the way, I see you tipping up winning flatrats on today's DT at like 4.05am....lucky for some that don't have to get up for the 9-5 eh!!!
Faugheen/jezski reverse forecast looks interesting, tno and the fly to fight it out for the minor places!
I grant you he's jumped like a drunk so far but there have been glimpses, and only glimpses, of a real chaser in the making. Hendos string will begin to warm up for March too, had a real tough first half of the season. A big ask but a very lively outsider.
I dont think Josses Hill is top class, was a bad novice he won at Aintree, you had to hope that he was going to be like Sprinter Sacre and take it to another level over fences but doesnt look that way so far. Un De So could blitz them but few question marks and a bad price now, Clarcam has been impressive but not many 5yo's win it. Like most of the races at Cheltenham, looks murky af.
The Albert Bartlett is a possibility but I am fairly confident that the yard are setting their sights on what looks a pretty weak Neptune. I know the owner to chat to and I hope to find out for certain soon.
Cheers stick, be sure to let us know when you get the oul 'nod'.anything else take your fancy, not much value on day one anyway.
If Open Eagle comes out and sluices up over 2 miles looking a complete natural, then he could end up Willie's Supreme horse with Douvan heading to the Neptune. Just a thought ................
DOUVAN is3.35 on exchange for Supreme Novice. 15.0 for Neptune. Betfair usually tells the story so he looks Supreme bound.
For once beefy u actually talk some sense But nah completely agree Faugheen will be a good few lengths clear come the last and have no problem coming up the hill with Jezki I'm second the new one will show that he wasn't unlucky and just not good enough at 2m to be a champion hurdler!
Only one I agree is that UDS only because he won't turn up gain willie will keep him for Punchestown again the other 3 how u can say Annie power won't win is crazy the only way she won't is if she doesn't run in it Faugheen will be too good and Douvan looks a beast Vautour all over agin!!
I think UDS will turn up as long as he runs well in the Irish Arkle. I think if he wins that he'll go to Chelts. Ruby has been very complimentary of him since going chasing, even on debut when unseating.
