In the Champion Hurdle I'm not betting, in the NHC I'm on Pats Fancy 25/1 e/w. I wouldn't mind if you got the first one right but not the second one.
I know mate. I didn't take it as a dig at all. I was just continuing the conversation. I'm more than capable of making myself look daft without any help from anybody else.
I don't have anything on RWF anymore. I had it in a double with Echoes In Rain for the CH but that one has been diverted elsewhere so the bet is dead. A free bet from skybet so nothing lost but still annoying. I have a few decent looking ante post tickets going, sponged from far more knowledgeable people than myself.
Mares Hurdle Queens Brook 16/1 e/w Lads, Coral and Unibet. Others 12/1 NRNB Trained by G. Elliott Racing Post Stable Tour "She pulled muscles and was very lame behind but is back in full work and will go straight for the Mares Hurdle. A lot has gone into her. She's a very good mare but she's hard to get fit so we'll have to try to get a few schooling races into her if we can"
There will have to be an 'asterisk' beside the Pertemps Final though as we still have one qualifier to take place - Chepstow on Saturday. I wonder if that race will see a huge number of entries incidentally - last chance saloon and all that. Maybe, the likes of Dickie Diver and Streets of Doyen will make one last attempt...
I have no idea what the weather will be like on that day but they may have rushed so much that they may be in for an unpleasant surprise...
Declared on Wednesday at Punchestown in the Quevega Mares Hurdle (Grade 3). Only six but select runners, Burning Victory, Gauloise, Dysart Dynamo... D. Russell on board. I hope she doesn't win, just that she proves she is fit.
Sorry, I made a mistake when I wrote the name. I'm sure it's because I've been looking so many times at the Supreme market to see if El Fabiolo is still there...
Not a huge number of entries - 17 put in. I do doubt if there is any spectacular amongst these 17 though. Perhaps Ballyandy and Rightplacerightime are the most eye-catching. Meanwhile, did the steward forget to put the T in Lieutenant Henderson's GnT at entry time. He's put Mill Green in another qualifier. But he qualified on Saturday!!! Still, in all seriousness, I'm sure the great man has his reasons.
Exceptionally good piece, on the Sporting Life website, this morn in which Lieutenant Henderson discusses his Cheltenham Festival team. Recommended reading in my opinion - https://www.sportinglife.com/racing/news/cheltenham-festival-stable-tour-nicky-henderson/198633 Particularly eyecatching what he says about Walking on Air, Broomfield Burg and Mister Coffey. In addition, of course, to his views re the established stars. Good humoured interview as well with the forum's favourite trainer displaying his great wit on several occasions.
Arkle Chase-Magic Daze Each Way @ 20-1 [Paddy Power] NRNB Though beaten at odds on last race, she did finish sore and has been trained with this race in mind since
I'm on 33/1 e/w since September. After her performances this season I had given up hope that she would run but, if nothing unusual happens, she will be on the starting line. I don't think there will be more than nine or ten horses.
You mean to tell us, he isn't your favourite? Maybe Barnabus is using that technique whereby if something is repeated to you so much, you too will also believe it as truth. He had me fooled.
My gut feeling is that Gordon Elliott will rely on Galvin for the Gold Cup and reroute Conflated to the Ryanair Chase to try and win his owner’s own race. If so, Conflated’s improvement and the speed he showed last time must give him a chance of upsetting the hot favourite, Allaho, who makes no appeal at prohibitive 4/5 odds. However, Coral is offering the same price as all the the other main bookies ie.10/1 but including Non runner no bet. I feel this makes him a very attractive each way proposition for punters. Definitely worth a bash.
