    Strange the Irish did so well but not in the big 3.... I did OK and going to Lingfield next weekend for my mates 60th birthday do..... he's got a box with entry and food paid for by him :)

    It’s a good day out at Lingers - I go there half a dozen times a year. There won’t be 300 folk there next Sat.

    It's a shame his birthday isn't the week after... good meet that one...... Like the greyhounds at Crayford next Saturday is a bookies meeting for the shops/online!

    Last time I went to Crayford on a Saturday morning it was a quid to get in for 14 races. And the chicken in a basket went down a treat.

    My eldest son had 3 winners and a 25/1 second on our last Lingers trip <yikes> -me ....nothing

    I couldn’t back a winner in a one horse race at the moment...although I do fancy Charlton today ..

    I always used to let the kids pick a winner at Catford Dogs. We always came out on top that way.

    Same with The Ravensbourne in Ladywell, which used to host the best open-mike in London, now being demolished to build what will undoubtedly be advertised as "Luxury Apartments".
