We've no idea what Samcro has really achieved in winning his races this season - could possibly be a load of old ****e he has been beating. He may be a future champion but that is no reason to run scared of him and it certainly doesn't harm to look for some value against him. His price is probably adding value into the rest of the market <ok>

If he is to oblige Native River needs to overturn a monumental stat. Since the year 2000 67, I say 67, times horses have tried to win the ‘Cheltenham Gold Cup’ after having failed to win the race at their first attempt. People, all 67 attempts have been beaten!

Every year the Irish have a re incarnation of Pegasus and more often or not they get beaten - Death Duty, Arvika legionnaire, Dunguib, Boston Bob just a few that comes to my mind all bankers and all beaten!!

Douvan goes straight to Cheltenham. No run since last March is hardly a positive but will add some intrigue to the Champion Chase.

Quevega did it for years. I bet Faugheen’s performances this year have played a part in that decision. Seemingly run his best race on reappearance. Today’s race at Gowran looked like a terrible idea in retrospect

Quevega apart not many gave done it though have they. To have last year's 2/9 fav lining up even without a run against Altior and the others makes it a much more appealing spectacle. One thing you can rely on is that if he turns up Douvan will be fit enough on the day.

Spot on Chan. He's fit or he doesn't run. Mullins trains on a hill.

I don't think Our Duke jumps his fences quick enough to win in a GC Wooly but I've known to be wrong!

They actually said that he doesn't get into a good rythym until he is jumping at pace, which he should get in the gold cup.

McManus owned ESPOIR D’ALLEN out of the Festival. Logic would surely suggest they’ll send APPLES SHAKIRA for that race now rather than the Mares Novice? Not a race I’ve formed any sort of a view on but she’ll certainly add interest with her allowance....

I've been very impressed by Mr Henderson's On The Blind side thus far .............. he may well get my vote in the old Ballymore but will be betting on the day with Ladbrokes so value is assured any way <laugh> <doh>
