    Edit : Collected £1,486

Would have been £12,000 with Zarkander :(

    Not had a 12 k payout in 30 years of punting !

Tough luck mate. Still, if there's profit try not to be too beaten up. You going with Conti tomorrow?

Booked the day off work to enjoy the last day in the pub. Perfect start to the weekend!

Yes. I am on Conti today.

Have you ever been to the Festival Super /Doc ?

The first year I went was when Beech Road won the Champion Hurdle - late 80s.

It used to be a great day out, in the last 5 years they have taken the decision to pack too many people in , to the extent that you can no longer get from the paddock to the betting ring to the stands. You just have to take a spot for the whole afternoon, cross your legs, and stay there.

Been to meets, not a festival. I got given tickets to ascot last year by the local landlady, but couldn't attend.

Thinking about lumping on Conti today. Do you agree with the bookies that he's hot favourite?

I can't see him out the first 3...stays longer than the mother-in-law.

    There is some 4/1 around.

A lot of noise he will go out to 5's, so going to risk it and hold off.

If you want a brilliant meeting to go to Super, try the Dante Festival at York (mid May).... a wonderful meeting and at £80 for a three day entrance great value for money. If the weather is sunny then the northern fillies try to out do Essex girls..... glorious <ok>

A far from successful day means I end the week £20 down, not the end of the world, always tomorrow's football for that. Charlton at 9/5 is a tempter

What an awful days betting that was. Ate in to a lot of my profit yesterday.

That said, I think the punters won the week overall.
