english ****s need to man the **** up and accept they are lightyears behind spain in every aspect of football

they are on a par with germany in terms of leagues, nowhere close to them in national team

accept it and move on, nothing will be changing anytime soon

I agree with some of that edd

I think Wigan against UTD and le arse showed what can happen if you play without fear
and blackburn fulham and villa showed what happens if you park the bus

FFS even rooney scored in open play against villa

Barcelona are 1/4 to beat Chelsea next week. What's amazing is those odds are probably correct.

I know Chelsea haven't been in the best of form, but the likes of Celtic would be bigger odds to beat the team at the bottom of the SPL - it does indicate a surprisingly large gap in quality between two supposedly top clubs - in the semis of a European cup...

Yet Chelsea won.

aye and bookies make Barca 1/4 to beat them next week - after watching Chelsea win.

<laugh> were they ****. Setting aside the fact Chelsea parked the bus on an extremely narrow pitch Barca were very poor tonight, nothing to do with an admirable performance from Chelsea.
Despite playing garbage Barca still retained 70%ish possession, they still rattled the woodwork twice, they had another two glorious chances to score. Barcelona were lacking a clinical finish to their moves.
If Barca improve slightly on that performance, and my guess is they will improve massively on the anti-football bustingly large Nou Camp pitch, I can only see one outcome. Arsenal were in a similar bullish mood after their first leg win last year, didnt end well.

Classic case of the bitter c**t.

No just realistic, your deluded mate

all the english can hope for is the Europa League, and maybe one of your teams getting to the semis of the EC before the big boys start playing, you wont see an english team winning the champions league for at least 10 years

and your national team probably wont win another tournament ever

simple facts

The national game is all about money from image rights etc. I have said all along that capello's contract extention was a result of him NOT picking who plays

The important bit is 'next week'

I'm English and I can still see that the PL is behind La Liga, ask the majority of Championship fans and they'll tell you the same, it's only fans of teams in the PL who honestly believe they aren't.

You are not English, you hate England and we English. I bet you think Jeremy Clarkson and Stephen Fry are twats, hmmm?

germany and spain are producing world class players for fun, its just not there for england

the only reason the premier league is up there with germany is because funny money being spent on foreign talent, even the french are producing, england is finished and so is great britain.

They are twats funny enough, although Stephen Fry less so, and most english could probably agree with that

Its down to passion for me.

I hear all this shoite about paying more to retain talent in everything in this country from football to bankers

Yet the likes of germany have the best banking at the moment and pay a lot less, and despite all the crap being sold to us NO german bankers a migrating here for more money

So what did I say that was wrong? The possession stats? The rattling the woodwork twice? The two glorious chances that were begging David Villa to finish them (god bless him and his broken leg), the narrow pitch. Point out one thing that was wrong with that statement

One team getting to the semis? We've had more teams in the semis than any other country this past decade. Wum c**t.

your time is up, and all the money in the world wont change it

germany france and spain will be dominating european club tournaments and international tournaments for a long long time
