Yeah I was thinking whether we do that. I think the coaching needs some freshening up

There's no Shame in asking for help , give Farke the final say on player selection but possibly have a wise experienced head alongside him in an advisory role .

Or recruit specialist defensive and attacking coaches.

Jurgen Klinsmann hasn't been seen lately get him on the phone or Joachim Low.

I have kept quiet for a while now. Have been unable to find a stream to watch our matches since Leicester. Saw the first half yesterday and switched off. PLM, Mayor and others om receiving the ball from Krull or defenders never looked at an attacking option but almost always sent the ball back from whence it had come. In so doing we are always on the back foot, we had no attacking impetus at all. Is Aarons a defender? I never saw him in a RB role at any time in the time I watched. Earlier in the season the left side was wide open, yesterday it was the right. We are in for a horrendous season if this continuous.

Grant Hanley apologises to fans about the no show against Chelsea. Same old, same old…………………Seems like we are free fall when you hear the captain apologise.

What were you expecting him to say?

We have to put someone in front of the media and as usual he didn't shirk his responsibilities. If anything him & Krul were the only 2 who showed up

ManUtd lost 5-0 at home to Liverpool. They had Pogba sent off on a straight red in the 61st minute, but all 5 goals were scored before that.

Oh come on, we have all seen and heard this before in other seasons. The Captain apologising is usually a smoke screen hiding what is really going on behind the scene. Like others, I am keeping away from this forum as it could go toxic in the next few weeks. We have been here before…………….

I’ve calmed down a bit since yesterday. As others have said a bit of perspective is required, Chelsea are the European champions.
As for Farke, he changed the formation to something that I think he planned to use a couple of years ago as a plan b, that’s exactly what it is. Results were hard to come by at the start of the season, he needed to stop the rot of losses and did that by turning to a different strategy. I don’t expect us to play that formation against Leeds. I think he has moved to the 4-3-3 to start the season to be more responsible defensively, but we also came up against some of the strongest teams in those first games. The worrying game was the Watford loss, after which he changed things.
I’d give him until January, he earned that, see where we are then and make a decision. As said before we hopefully now have a run of games against teams around us, fingers crossed we can start to put a run together and get some points on the board and some goals in the net. We just need to get that first win monkey of our back!

Every team in this league has taken a severe beating over the last 12-18 months (even LFC, CFC and MCFC). West Brom put 8 goals past us last season.

I bet the 1500 potential away fans who couldn't get a ticket in the end are quietly breathing a sigh of relief.

But the question remains what we're you expecting him to say ?

What players in his position have said something different ?

It's all very well moaning about what he said, but unless you can suggest what he should have said, that was more appropriate, then it's just a meaningless moan. What do you mean the forum could go toxic, I've asked a reasonable question, if you can't answer it just say so.

Nonsense if DF is out of his depth at PL level, Martin isn't even in the water. Same with Robins . It's just paper talk although I wouldn't rule either out as a future manager.

I honestly don't understand this flouncing off at our lowest point of the season so far fearing toxic opinions.

I'm relatively upbeat and positive, perhaps that's what they mean <laugh>

I **** my pants a few times over the years when I thought we may go into administration but those dark days are hopefully long gone...

Worst case scenario we get relegated and fester in the Championship selling our best players to cover the drop in revenue and blood our academy.

We may be the most relegated side but that must mean we are the team that achieved the most promotions.

2 of the last 4 seasons have been incredible for me better than scraping above bottom 3 and surviving.

It isn't about 'flouncing' Dunc, it's about not wanting to wade through emotional over reactions suggesting Armegeddon has arrived. We now have journos like Stuart Hodge (who?) suggesting he knows everything the club needs to do, which currently is appoint Russell Martin manager, showing just how little he knows about anything. Have a look at Swansea's recent results. ManUtd's 5-0 loss at home to Liverpool put things into perspective. These things happen. It's time to move on and think about the next 5 games.

I am not quite so confident as others about the next 5 games.

    For me

Leeds at home Sunday lunchtime 2pm

Long break to work on not being **** in every department with Omobamidele replacing Gibson .

I'm going to go for 2-1 home win as no matter how Leeds are doing we seem to get a result, I had a Leeds fan mate in the 90s and I remember him going up to Elland Road and we smashed them 4-0 I think the season after them winning the league.
We embarrassed them in League 1 and last time in the Championship.
Purely on that jinx factor not on anything positive we have produced stats wise this season we are truly terrible .

Brentford away I'm going for a 2-0 loss for us we humbled them last season when they were on fire , this season they are way better than us and we are terrible away from home scoring 3 and conceding 37 or something ridiculous.

    Southampton

Easy win for them, we gift them 6 points most seasons to keep them up can't see any change this time 0- 3 Saints

    Wolves at home 0-4 loss

    Newcastle away 0-4 loss

Maximum 4 points to us and that's being ambitious.

Factor in the 3 goals scored 2 in open play and about 47 conceded in our last 19 Premier league games and little improvement this season then it's blind faith to think it's going to change anytime soon.

Something like 7 and a half hours without an away goal.

That is not toxic just cold hard realism.

I won't be calling for Webber & Farke to be removed & throwing the baby out with the bath water though & Rusty is most certainly not the solution I would sooner take Adams or Gunny

"As recently as May, the Canaries finished six points clear of Watford at the top of the Championship and 10 clear of eventual play-off winners Brentford. To see both in mid-table with three wins from nine games and with double figures in the goals-scored column is damning in the extreme for a Norwich team that has managed just one goal from open play and two points." (Dave Freezer)
Freezer neglects to point out that, among their 9 games played, Brentford have faced the same teams as us on 5 occasions -- Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton and Leicester. Watford have only faced 3 -- Brighton, Liverpool and Everton -- but of course have also played and beaten us.
I don't think it's emotional over-reaction at all to say there is something badly wrong.

Why does it mean something is badly wrong. It could just mean that at present our team isn't good enough to beat the other teams. Just cause were losing football games against teams that unlike us don't need to live within their means, doesn't mean there's something badly wrong.

Interestingly Brentford and Watford don't seem to have change there style of play much, where as we seem to be following your advise and are trying to play more defensively.
