I'm just going by what the local reporters have said about it. Not sure what else could be going on there really. Maybe Rusk was initially there to help the transition to the new manager and they formed a good working relationship so he carried on for a bit longer and then they decided that the move should be made official. But yeah tbf, why would you bother making an official announcement about it if we are likely to have a new manager (and presumably with his own coaches) next season anyway. Who knows.
Just had a quick look on a Chelsea forum and it makes for quite the read. They sound almost as depressed and defeated as we do! They seem to think a lot of their players are lazy and don't look bothered, and that Maresca is or should be on his last chance. Apparently there is a planned protest for tonight and everything!? To be fair they're 7th, and 1 point off 4th so are having a really tough time of it. Haven't won anything since they won the Champions League in 2021.
Well Dragan did say in that interview with Talksport that Juric would be the manager next season. I assumed at that time it was a case of "why would he say anything different having given him an 18-month contract" but maybe he is going to stick around?
