That's not what I meant. It's his comment "all Saints fans have to look forward to is a trip to Norwich next season". I'm not fussed about him calling our season dismal because that is perfectly true but he just can't wait to make snide comments like the one above. Hope we ****ing smash his beloved Norwich.
Yeah these should be the norm everywhere imo. When you think about it the whole concept of toilet paper is a bit grim really. If you got **** anywhere else on your body you wouldn't use dry tissue to clean it.
Deserana (sorry forgot to quote your post!) I agree with you about SR on the whole and you make some good points here. They have recruited the wrong guy and not backed him at all. My point remains though that he does not seem to have reacted at all to the fact that his tactics aren’t working. From his interviews I would imagine he is not the best man manager we’ve ever had and some of his footballing decisions have been baffling (there are a few examples of those). I’m not necessarily disagreeing with your points and I certainly agree with you about SR generally but I am saying that it is not them who decide, for example to play a back 5 and a man marking system which is pullling our players all over the place and leaving gaping holes in our midfield. And then persist with it when it is clearly not working. Edit: and perhaps if he isn’t using our new midfielder then maybe he should be? Just saying…
Just a feeling I've got. No idea why We're actually better away from home AND Chelsea are struggling for form...so the signs are pointing towards a Saints win...* *So long as you are very selective about which signs you look at
Been thinking about Juric. It’s a bit odd for him to be saying that we don’t have good enough players to play his intensive man marking tactic. I mean I’m guessing that’s how he played at Genoa, Verona and Torino, and no matter how **** a squad we have (and it really is pretty bad), I don’t necessarily think we’d be worse than those teams. What’s different here is the quality of the opposition (both players and managers), and they’re good enough to very quickly work out how to play against this tactic. So, regardless of the quality of our squad, what really needs changing is the tactic itself, because it’s that that is really ****, along with the formation, in order to best utilise what we do have. If you can’t do that, you’re not a good manager.
This modern reticence from managers to even remotely consider adapting “their” way is maddening. Calling things “Pepball”, “Russball” etc and making them the star probably doesn’t help either.
The guy played an attacking midfielder at CB, and never plays a midfield He is setting the team up in a completely stupid way. Of course the squad quality is poor, but I’m not having his excuses If he played players in sensible positions, 4-2-3-1 with 2 holding midfielders. Les & Downes, we wouldn’t concede 3 a game. He’s making the same mistake Martin did and playing a system which doesn’t suit the squad at all
Yeah I've said before I really hope the next manager is someone who can actually adapt and play in different ways. Feels like every manager we've had for about five years is wedded to a style and lacks the capability and/or willingness to try something different. It's infuriating as you say.
Says a lot when you can only get 11/2 on Chelsea winning by five or more. According to the bookies that's more likely than us getting a draw. I make them right tbh.
