Just been listening to Brucies post match interview on the BBC, not stupid our Mr Bruce, keeping a good relationship with Jose with the joke about Lampard, keeping the door open for possible loan signings in the future.
Been catching up on the comments here and it has been suggested we need a big (centre?) forward to add a bit of musscle up front but I thought we had one who cost £2.5 million a while back, is he out of the equation altogether now?
I think Prozzy will do alright if he gets a chance this year. Couldn't have done much worse than Graham today..
Agreed, a couple of times the ball came close to Graham and he was sleeping standing up, not even making an attempt for the ball. Bruce better not be in the bench next game too!!
Aye, there was no need for Bruce to be on the bench. All it did was limit our attacking options, we didn't even have a striker on the bench ffs. If SB wanted his son in th esquad, he could have dropped McShane to make way for another option.
Dudgeon didn't make the bench either. Three players who would have given us a different option ignored, so that we could have a **** load of CBs and CMs.
I thought Chelsea were world class in the first 30 mins, there passing and movement was such quality we may have been playing Barcelona. We played realy well once they settled back. McGregor was outstanding and Huddlestone made the difference in midfield. We should take pride in that and go beat Norwich before another tough one at Man City. Like many I also tipped them for the title and although I hate them was very inpressed by United and pleasantly enjoyed watching Villa. What a season we have in store.
Don't think it was disastrous by any means - it is important that you get something from the next game (and have to say that I've never been impressed by Danny Graham - Championship striker for me, nothing more) ...
If you're on about Proschwitz, he's neither muscle or aerial ability (if we've found anything out about him). Though Danny Graham didn't seem to do anything at all, Sagbo looked much better in that position.
Jose Mourinho - "Steve Bruce (Hull manager) told me there is a bridge in Hull, and asked if I could send some of our first teamers to the Hull bridge rather than Stamford Bridge"
Bruce reckons Jose said to him after the match that he'd told his team at half time to go out and humiliate us, to send out a message. So all these comments that they let us keep the ball second half are wide of the mark.
