If I were an opposition fan I would agree with you. But I'm an Arsenal fan, so I found it depressing and not at all funny.
I do agree that sometimes you have to laugh when the chips are down, I just found it pretty distasteful yesterday seeing Arsenal fans posting smileys and lol's.
I found the first FOUR goals distasteful . Then it just became comical. Guess that makes me a secret spurs fan . Thats the default insult these days.
I wasnt depressed , just astonished . Such a performance is not depressing for me , as you always kind of expect one of them to turn up .sooner or later these days ,this particular one was just ....remarkable. Unusually bad . whats that , 16 goals conceded against the top teams ....so far .
Sp*rs goals they've conceded this season have been the result of comedy defending. Ours wasn't comical, it was just non-league standard defending.
Its called black humour , it the way humans deal and have dealt with disaster for centuries. Remember when the West Ham fans sang " your nothing special , everyone beats us" Do you therefore summise that they all HATE west ham ? Get a grip .
I'd say people like you posting smiley's when we were TWO nil down need to 'get a grip' P.S. we are not West Ham P.P.S who said fans HATE Arsenal ? I said I found it galling.
mmmm lets get some context shall we . My first post was at 1.06 pm . Yes we were ONLY 2 nil down at that time . My post , the FIRST one of the day , was an IRONIC grin that Ox had just given them a penalty and got a man sent off. Your post one minute later 1.07 pm " This is a f**king horror show " Im not sure which is more " galling " smilies are distasteful but , no mention of this post 10 minutes after .? "Does anyone want my ticket for the Citeh game next week ? "........sounds like a plastic to me . Not galling ?
It's just unforgivable you can go to one of your big rivals and get spanked like that for the THIRD time this season. I like Arsenal I really do and all the philosophy that has been bred into the club by Wenger, to play good attractive football, the clubs finances are amazing, you play in a state of the art stadium, you are a global brand BUT Wengers time is up. You need someone that will come in and do something different. Wengers 1000th game in charge, possibly about 450 games too many (going through a rough calculation in my head). I'd love for Arsenal to win the FA Cup and then see him leave, but hasn't he already signed a new contract?
I wonder what the percentage of Arsenal fans that feels this way is. This bloke really echoes a lot of fans sentiments I think. For me it is not the loss, no big deal, we lost, I never expected a win against Mourinho from AW, it was the manner of the defeat, almost like the players either did not care or they no longer wanted to play for Wenger!
Not sure I buy that. As poor as we were and as embarrasing as it was, 75 mins with 10 men against any team is hard, against a team like Chelsea it's impossible and Mourinho wanted to use the circumstances as an opportunity to twist the knife again and again, against any other team he would have used the game as a training exercise but not us/yesterday. I remember the last 10 mins of the CL final when we couldn't get near the ball, tiredness with 10 men just took over, it didn't mean no-one tried or cared, they were just unable to do anything about a good team who keep possession well...
I refuse to hide behind the red card. As for Mourinho, I do not expect any class from him or expect him to magnanimous, however, AW presented the opportunity.... He probably let his hatred for Mourinho get in the way of reason and probably thought he was going to go for the jugular and threw caution to the wind (He probably also thought they were there for the picking after their midweek exertions). Chelsea did not have to do anything special to hammer us.
Indeed , i could have emulated you and said ." my god this is a horror show " but . Some of us are NOT that surprised by it . Stick around.
