Costa have had a yellow for waving an imaginary card at the ref when he had been tripped earlier on, a yellow for the slap in the face, a red for the knocking the player down and a yellow for for the squaring up...so the ref got 1 card in 4 right!
Costa hits koscielny in the face three times on purpose - there's a red card in there already. Then he squares up to koscielny and knocks him to the ground, definitely a yellow there (maybe another red). Then he grabs out at Gabriel round the neck, that's another yellow. He pats Gabriel aggressively in front of the ref twice in the chest which Gabriel did back, another yellow probably in there. He more than once gets aggressive with the ref, surely another yellow in there. The continued aggression and winding up of Gabriel, a possible yellow in there. And I've probably missed more! Can't comprehend how between the ref and all his officials they haven't decided to send him off.
This game is over, is there even any point watching the second half? We've got ourselves to blame and no-one else. How can you fall for Costa's antics so ****ing easily? Like a moth to a flame.
That being said, I'm not sure how the linesman can see from halfway across the pitch that Gabriel stamped on Costa, yet conveniently missed Costa raising his arms to Koscielny's face and then barging him to the ground in an area where he was a lot closer. Where's the consistency? Gabriel did try to have a swipe at Costa, which is also a red card, but how Costa has stayed on the pitch is mystifying.
We can potentially go 8 points behind City by end of today, but hey, we will challenge and be right up there this season as some posters have been saying for the past couple of weeks, lol. I don't know what some of you are smoking, but going 8 points behind City in September is not what I'd term as challenging better this year.
I know this has already been done to death, but Gabriel is an absolute moron. Regardless of whether Costa should have been off or not, Costa is a highly publicised and well-documented wind up merchant. Don't give him an excuse to put you in a vulnerable situation. I just cannot fathom why he couldn't step away from the situation after being booked. He kept poking Costa and then gave the referee a decision to make by arguing with him and standing right in front of him. Sheer idiocy.
