I do have a feeling that comment will be rammed down my throat by about 2.45 on Saturday with Chelsea winning 2-0 as Arsenal tend to "freeze" in these games.
There's nothing more obvious than a Chelsea win here. I'd be ecstatic if I am proved wrong and when the game starts I will be fully supporting the players but if we lose it won't be a surprise. In fact, it's more of a surprise if we win these games to be honest.
Wenger: No excuses for Saturday: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34291163 So before the usual suspects have their usual excuses ready to go incase things go badly on Saturday, our very own manager has said that we have no excuses.
I think this is a tough one to call. I expect Chelsea to set up to stop us playing and 0-0 could well be the final result. If either side get the win I think it'll be a scrappy 1-0 result. The only way I can see this being an open game rather than a cagey one is if one team gets two early goals.
Interesting that there's no Merts in the side, I suppose Wenger has gone for Gabriels speed over Merts' pace. I can't see him still being shaken up after the accident. Theo upfront and Jose seems to have countered his pace by dropping Terry and playing Zouma - bit of a surprise!
Chelsea team to play Arsenal: Begovic, Ivanovic, Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Fabregas, Matic, Oscar, Hazard, Pedro, Costa Chelsea subs: Blackman, Ramiries, Falcao, Mikel, Remy, Terry, Loftus-Cheek Arsenal team to play Chelsea: Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Cazorla, Alexis, Ozil, Walcott Arsenal subs: Ospina, Debuchy, Gibbs, Arteta, Giroud, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chambers
Jose is in a huge rut, but Wenger is the guy who can and probably will give him the lift he needs. It's most likely going to be very predicable. No score draw written all over this one.
Interesting that Wenger has picked Walcott over Giroud. Does this mean we are going to counter Chelsea? I think that would be a good approach, it will invite Chelsea to attack and allow us to counter at pace against their questionable defense. It also minimises risk. A draw will be a good result with all things considered.
That's what I thought. That will either mean a draw or chelsea nicking a goal and shutting up shop for the whole game.
