Chelsea v Watford. Chelsea play Leicester on Thursday, and then Watford on Sunday. They have already qualified for the Champions league, but I assume they'll want to secure third position in the table. This can be done if they beat Leicester, which could potentially be good for Watford as maybe Chelsea could then play the kids in their last game. This is our only hope as Watford are literally limping to the end of the season. We now have a lot of injuries, players who have said they won't be here next season, and those who shouldn't be allowed to play in case they get injured and that ruins their inevitable summer sale to finance going down. The season started positively enough, but in short, Muñoz lost control, CR70 couldn't get a tune out of the players and nosedived, and then Woy will complete the debacle by plummeting us into the Championship. In doing such it will become the first relegation he has suffered in his career. Check out some of this season's achievements: Most goals conceded at home in top flight history. Most consecutive home defeats in top flight history. Most home defeats in top flight history. Our worse ever points return in the top flight. Most consecutive defeats to one club. Joint lowest home points total in top flight history. It's been a dire season, a real fiasco, with only six wins and five draws. The players must be demoralised after twenty-six losses, I assume that'll be twenty-seven come Sunday. At least Norwich will probably prop us up in the table, as they have Tottenham at home.
I will be........................... gardening.................... or something ...............for this one..............................
Writing it felt like an obituary. I am getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow night. Big Firday night I know! So, I might have nothing better to do than watch it!
For the first time in many year... I have lost the will to watch...... I will bounce back next season...as long as we do!!!
I cannot remember the last season where I saw no wins. It didn't help missing Goodison for the first time this century , Villa likewise, but even so. I can accept it - sh*t happens. As long as the club is ok and doesn't go into some sort of death spiral then I'll live with it. But the seemingly huge financial implications of getting to/surviving/being relegated from the EPL are very unhealthy for the game.
Looks like Chelsea secured 3rd place with the 1-1 at home to Leicester, if it is goal difference that counts.
Cucho, Samir, King, Cleverely and Kiko all in contention to play some part in the game apparently. https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co...news/roy-hodgson-club-doctors-watford-7109903
Mark Lawrenson Score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Watford Michael Owen Score prediction: Chelsea 3-0 Watford Paul Merson Score prediction: Chelsea 4-0 Watford Hopefully all three are wrong - would love to rub their noses in it with a positive result, especially Merson's. Sadly, though, I can't see that happening.
