Fair result I say. We played ****e, you couldn't finish.

Better for you than us and I think it's Europa for us next season if I'm honest.

  3. Really good performance today and we got stronger as the game went on.
A point was the least we deserved and I think that result will also do wonders for confidence.
Ade was excellent - back to his best - just a pity he/ we couldn't turn those chances into goals.
The biggest plus was the fact that tactically we out thought Chelsea - and the corners and free kicks were sooooo much better!!

We should take a CL spot now and we did play pretty well, considering how negatively I felt when I saw the line up, but I'm a little let down that we didn't take any of those chances, Drogs.
There was a few total sitters in there.
Low confidence at the moment, I guess.

If you'd told me after the Everton match (where our last 3 games were LLL) that we'd draw against Stoke and Chelsea (away) - I'd have taken that.

Our last 3 games now are LDD which reads slightly better...

We only hit the first man a couple of times, Totsfan. That's better than every time! <laugh>

The ones VdV took were better - he didn't put so much whip on them and therefore they went further and higher.

The ones I saw he got to drop near the penalty spot - which is about all he can do as the taker.

Keeping a clean sheet was a plus, given the back four looked shaky throughout - but King's needed a rest for a few weeks, whilst Gallas has needed to get some matches to come up to sharpness, so the gamble may pay off in the long-run. Seeing us change the formation for the game, rather than hammer square pegs into round holes once again, can also be seen as a positive.

I agree, you were better than us. It was just a case of taking chances!

Gallas may not be the defender he once was, but he had a very positive effect on the others I think. Loved seeing him giving out instructions.

Disappointed we never won as we were the better team - Chelsea were on a good run until City beat them and I expected us to lose. But yet again we fail to take our chances, and no real improvement on quality of corners and free kicks taken. Doesn't help when Bale shoots from outside the box and is 10 yards off target! He's too greedy when in possession!

Good to see Gallas back in the team, wish Ledley was fit for the game to partner him at the back.

    Very true, London_man.
Bale needs to get back to basics and stop trying to be Ronaldo or Messi.

  17. Other than the last one, yes
Bale hit the bar from one and as far as I can recall most dropped into dangerous areas. You are not going to win every ball in the box but at least it was there most of the time today.
And that is starting from a baseline that previously they were ALL dreadful

Did we get better or are Chelsea **** at defending them, Relayer?
    Time will tell, I guess.
We certainly looked more threatening from them today than we have in a very long time, though.

Gary Cahill made the difference, I've never really rated him but I might have to look again. If the Chavs had been without him Spurs would have won by 3 or 4. We looked more like the home team, 55% possession 19 shots to 10, the Chavs trying to catch us on the break. OK it's a shame that we didn't win, we deserved to but it shows how far we've come when we are all disappointed not to win at the bridge.
