I don't think it matters anymore after today's showing who he plays.....one thing for sure is he can forget any big team looking at him now and im not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing....I don't want to be lumbered with him if he continues the team to play the way we are.....

Agree Dai, after his recent displays I'd be surprised if their were any takers. To be honest he's being to look a bit of a liability at the moment, I'd bench him for the next game and play Monk. At least he'd give 100% even if the legs are old. These lads, need to take a good, long hard look at themselves. They need go out and play with a bit of pride for a change.

So Ash couldn't motivate me to have a pint then ? According to Ivor.

Been reading through the doom and gloom and then I read Ivor's post. Made me actually laugh out loud Ivor.

By the way, why weren't you lot on here at the game ?

I agree Never, If we are just making up the numbers until the season ends then we won't win anymore points. that being the case play Taylor, Bartley, donnelly, the dutch winger guy, Lamah and Lucas. Give the young guns a chance, hell they might even show a bit of fight!

JDG doesn't look good enough at this level apart from brief flashes, £7m is too much, even £3-4m looks expensive. Maybe if Villareal want to pay us £3m and pay his contract then he can join as a sub. Laudrup has shown remarkable faith in him and he seems to be of the first names on the teamsheet for some reason.

I can understand why didn't rush to replace DGraham due to few games remaining but his contribution has been missed.
Looking forward to canas, a striker or two, a new winger and a defender to boost the squad for next year.

Yep - Laudrup is **** and Swansea are ****. A league Cup and ninth in the Premier League - what a **** season this has been! Seems all us keyboard warriors are suffering from delusions of grandeur; of course we should be thrashing Chelsea - our crap players aren't trying! I know that our end of season dip in form is disappointing but get real FFS! Beginning of the season, given the upheaval during closed season, survival was our main objective; we did that with games to spare and won a trophy as well!

I can understand where you are all coming from but think you are confusing little old Swansea with a team that is established in the Premier League - we are still the new boys; second season I know, but we are still learning and still punching way above our weight! Our team have surpassed pre season expectations but it still isn't good enough for some!

Would say 'get behind the team for the rest of the season', but I know that for some, whatever we do will not be enough!

A two nil loss at Stamford Bridge is not tghe end of the world, but the manner of the defeat and on the back of a 5 game winless run it does raise questions.
I just didn't think we'd end up being one of those teams that settles for staying up. No-one wants to see their side play like they did today, lethargic would be a huge understatement....(made all the worse by my father-in-law being a Chelsea fan!!!!)
I'm not going to be all doom and gloom though, bring on City, let's do what we did last season and beat them at the Liberty.

Well said, cartoon. But got to be honest, we were **** today. Not to worry, Michael Laudrup is a highly intelligent and experienced football man. He knows what will be required for next season.

Wouldn't say **** Ivor - but not up to our usual standards! But agree with your views on Laudrup!

Hahaha! Like that Kwame - Flynn you say - how far we have come! But to listen to some on here you would think we were in a relegation battle! Some people are always 'glass half empty'! Have quite enjoyed this season myself and think the lads have done quite well - but then I am a 'glass half full' type of guy! ;)

To put things in perspective wehaven't been great of late but there's no doubting it's been our best ever season, just a shame that we've taken our foot off the gas. Laudrup is a cracking manager, attracting some cracking players. No doubt though that today was frustrating because we offered nothing and we know we can compete with the big boys when we are on form.
Bad day at the office, next game.

Indeed, I think there can be a few knee-jerk reactions after a game like today, the lads just didn't seem up for it. But in time I'd like to think that we can all put some perpective on it in realtion to the season we've had. For probably the 5th or 6th season in a row we started the season as favourites to get relegated and have proved them all wrong, picked up silverware and gained European qualification. As Swans-Cartoonhead mentioned, we lost to the European Champions today, a club with seemingly unlimited funds.

And by the way, Mr Lampard who scored today, learnt all he knows from his on-loan days at the Vetch!!!

stevejack, I can kind of see the thinking behind him being brought on today. If there's one thing you can credit Schechter for it's putting in the effort, putting himself about a bit. With the feel of the game today I just don't think Luke would have made an impact....(i know Itay didn't make any impact either!!...just one way of looking at it)

Kwame I never thought there was ANY logic to playing Shekter. You Sir, have just opened my eyes!

OK he has work rate but he has no physical presence, no first touch and can't score. LikeNeveroff said, give Donnelly a chance. I'm not a big fan of Moore but he's a damn sight better than Itay. Either Moore or Donnelly would have acheived more in my eyes.

Would love to see Donnelly get some game time, looks unlikely though, has he made the bench at all this season?
I really haven't seen anything of him so very interested in seeing how he'll come on in the next couple of seasons.
As for Schechter, in our last league game against Chelsea, when we drew 1-1 I thought he made a great assist for Pablo's goal but if you look closely it's actually a Chelsea defender that knocks the ball through!!!, haha!!!
I fear Itay will leave our shores without a goal to his name!
