I can't do one of those fancy match day threads so just basic as couldn't see anywhere to post on this.

How do we think this one is going to go ?

In the last few games I have to say I've not been happy with Oscar's performance, I lost count of how many times he lost the ball, or got knocked off it last week. I know many here think he is great but I think it is Willian that has made the difference lately.

I'm also pleased to see Luiz has been playing where I always thought he should be, so he's not scaring the **** out of me anymore.

Jose said that if Essien was still here he'd have played today so I don't know what that says about his team selection today.

I would think Ba will start and Matic. It would be good to see Kalas in there too. Hard to call the team today.

Definitely a tough call on the team. I think Ba, Matic, Schurrle, Cole and Schwarzer will all start.

Hoping Baker, Ake and maybe even Kalas get some pitch time.

Chelsea: Schwarzer, Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Lampard, Matic, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Eto'o. Subs: Cech, Ramires, Mikel, Ba, Willian, Terry, Azpilicueta.

just thinking about Juan on the left side free kick..

can't place it better - Oscar what a free kick..

2 chances within 1 min

Lamps misses open goal from 3 yards after great dribble & cross by Eden.
within few seconds - Oscar hits the wood work..

Easiest 1-0 win ever. Matic was immense. Luiz was damn solid as well.

Long time since I've seen so many scoring opportunities go begging! Still--we're through, so watch out City! <ok>

Very solid performance. Impressed with Matic....gave away a couple of balls but playing in that role you always will. He looks comfortable on the ball and tough in the tackle. Away to City will be tasty ! (twice) !!!
