Saints fan in my team and I are both pessimistic about this one. I actually feel far more confident about facing you St Mary's than I do here partly because we are a much better side away from home than at home.
I just want to say I am very grateful you have Reece James. It's a bit ironic that he looks like missing the game due to injury given he is the main reason why Tino is wearing red and white instead of blue. He's some player already.
Tino is brilliant, far too good to not be playing at this level. I was really glad he came to Soton as it's the best club in England (IMO) for nurturing young talent. I was at that Newcastle v Southampton game a few weeks ago and was really impressed with the maturity in his game. Hoping Saints kick on but obviously not this week
I think it's a given Romeu will have a stormer as well (I can't remember him ever playing badly at SB in a Saints shirt).
Some TV news coverage up here of the forthcoming game with Israel had footage of Stuart training, for what it`s worth!
Not one to start rumours but why on earth if he’s not fit enough to even be on our bench is he fit enough to ‘train’ with Scotland?
Just give him a big bowl of porridge, some iron bru, some blue face paint, and he’ll be raring to go.
Revert to the 4-1-41 formation for this battle and hope for a 0-0 or a miracle McCarthy KWP - Bedders - Salisu- Perraud Tino - JWP - Diallo - Redders Armstrong The left midfielder you could one of many to play there as there is little to chose between them, none particularly effect going forward
I'm sure that you're referring to 4-1-4-1, but I think we could flood their midfield with a 4-1-41 line up. But would Martin Atkinson notice anything wrong?
