Ah well we were guna lose anyway. Tactics were right but we just don't have the defence no matter what Rafa does. Chelsea know to just cross like ****. Keep it down to 2-1, regroup second half, who knows we might get another before the eventual onslaught
There's been some spectacular efforts to give the ball away by our lot. Diame, Perez, Murphy and Manquillo immediately spring to mind.
Smith prattling on about Chelski should have had a free kick before the halftime whistle went. And then fails to realise they wouldn’t have had time to take it anyway.
Lejeune successfully targeted by 3 long balls in the 8 minutes NUFC held the lead. Manquillo allowed 4 crosses and defended none; turned the ball over going forward once; failed to take the ball around the corner to the byline twice; Diame actually tracked back to fill the spot left open by Manquillo once.
Been carefully watching Perez given the criticism he has had and, in fairness, have I believe identified the two main attributes Perez brings to the team: 1. His ability to get to the opposition player within a second of that player getting rid of the ball, and 2. His ability to fall down and seek free kicks whenever the ball hits his foot.
He really is utter gash. Him and Diame would make better firewood. Final nail for me was Alan Smith saying "He's important to this team". You knew then how worthless he was.
