"Jose always wins the title in his second season at a club!" Bollocks, does he! United will be his first failure, but it will not be his last. He's not your first manager who has failed. What's he, now... your third?
I have always liked Jose, never bought into the bus parking bullshit as his MO because I have seen all his teams. He plays how he has to at any given time, he still holds the PL record for most points scored, most wins in a season and I think most goals scored in a season, that's one mobile bus. The bus he has today has scored the second most goals in the league this season (so far) and is capable of scoring many more when at full strength. God help any league he decides to open up on (take the handbrake off). When Jose first came to you he was a breath of fresh air in his interviews, by the time he got to us he was sour and bitter. In the last few weeks I have seen him starting to grow up and mellow in interviews, maybe the illness of his father has been weighing on him and now his death has mellowed him somewhat.
I will let you know when his tenure is over Will Poch be your first to succeed if he stays long enough?
Poch is already very high on the Real's shopping list when Zidane is sacked and despite saying the right words, he will find it too hard to resist. Back to the drawing board (shall I say mediocrity?) for Spurs...
I think even you will agree that you were lucky in that game. Had Kane been fit, we would have made our vastly superior possession pay off. We made you look small on your own ground.
If your aunt had a cock she would be your uncle. If Pogba was available you wouldn't had that much possession ...if...if. Fact: 1-0 and 3 points to United. everything else is opinion. Hey lads?
I think today has proved that we are still lacking in a few key areas of the field, and we are still not quite good enough to go toe to toe with a rival away from home. Mkhitaryan again proved that he's not good enough to be starting. How many consecutive games is he going to play ****e and then be subbed off after an hour? Before Mourinho actually drops him. Jones and Smalling just look akward when they are put to the test defensively. Neither look comfortable under pressure, and positionally Smalling is particularly poor. No wonder we spent 40 million on a centre half in the summer, unfortunately though, he is somehow even worse Mourinho has somehow with his negative tactics over the last month managed to drain the life out of the confidence of Lukaku. By giving him so little service in the games against Liverpool and Spurs, and some of the European games, we now have a striker with no confidence, who's forgotten what it's like to score. So we have to give Mourinho a big round of applause for that I genuinely believe the way we approached the Liverpool game has been the catalyst for this big dip in form we've suffered. We where free scoring and full of confidence prior to that, and now we look like a side with little to no confidence going forward.
Very true, the ice man Can't agree with the Lukaku bit though, he has loads of confidence but no service. Mykhi is a total waste of a shirt and should be dropped for Mata or Lingard (who I think links the play very well). You are spot on with the Liverpool game though, they have no midfield and a truly poor defence, we should have gone straight for the throat and buried them. Let's hope Pogba gets well soon.
It doesn't matter who you are, Ronaldo, Messi, Henry, Ibra. When you go 6 games without a goal you lose confidence. Lukaku to me just doesn't look at it, and it's fully Mourinho's doing, for starving him of service for so long. The guy just ruins top attacking players, he has a history of it. His negative tactics just drain the confidence from them. I agree about Pogba, we are in much need of some of the attacking swagger he showed in the early part of the season. Hopefully his return can get the rest of the team playing well.
You missed Drogba off that list Lukaku looks well "at it", the problem as you say, is lack of service, nothing to do with confidence.
You mean Drogba the player who was out scored by Lampard from midfield under Mourinho, and who had his most prolific season under Ancelotti once Mourinho had left
