Anderson was brilliant, Hernandez continuing his good form, Nani was his usual self and im amazed Giggs lasted the whole time.

Great experience and performance from the kids/second string.

Lets hope Swansea make Chelsea pay for fielding practically a full strength team.

I'll never be happy with losing, but the performance overall was much better than I had expected when I first looked at the lineups, basically the United bench players and reserves have just pushed a multimillion pound Chelsea team all the way to extra time, and would of probably won if not for that clumsy challenge right at the end by Wooton.

Not that "rival" fans are jealous or anything.

    I feast on his bitterness.

Didn't get to watch the game <wah> still stuck at work.

So Ando played well? Sounded like he did according to the live feed he set up all 3 goals.

Wonder if there's any Rafael doubters still out there? I know it's only been 3 months, but he's been our most consistent performer all season. Surprised he wasn't rested giving his injury record.

Ando was immense, great skill, eye for a pass and seemed the only one to go past players. Still hasn't found his shooting boots though. Shame he ran out of steam otherwise we might have grabbed a win.

Likewise id like to know id any Rafael haters are still around, butted heads with a few over the last few years.

One of most hilarious posts i've seen on this forum. The jubilation that we went out of the bloody league cup <laugh>

"i feast on their sorrow", hah i actually forgot the game was on until half time. We'll get over it needless to say.

One minute we're disrespecting cups by playing understrength teams, the next we're supposed to be devastated to go out.

I bet the likes of Arsenal87 are having a **** right now imagining how upset and enraged we all are.

Robin van Persie is going to become a hate figure isnt he.

I mean they are going to despise him to the point they start killing each other like deranged animals.

Disappointed we lost but at least some of the young lads got game time so proud of them.

    Keane was great.

Wooton was not so great, not bad but compared to Keane they were a level apart. Wooton wont make it, Keane may very well.

    Tunncliffe was rubbish.

Macheda did very little but at that point Chelseas £70million bench had come on so cant really blame him.

Rafael is the best RB in the league for me though hes not a kid.

More game time for Fletch was good aswell.

The issue later in the game was the defence had no protection so it was carved open. Anderson being taken off was the turning point as Tunncliffe wasnt good enough.

All in all though the team did well, very well. Should of won but not to much of a concern. We won the match that counts <ok>

    Ando was gold.

A Anderson, Cleverly and Carrick midfield could do serious damage.

LOL at chavs needing their first team to beat a B team with a few experienced heads. Felt sorry for Wootton who ran out of but the Keane twins will definitely make it. Like how Keane was still trying with the surging runs in ET. Are we gonna try in FA cup or will these youngsters get a cgance again in FA cup?

Hoping we see those three guys in a diamond with Rooney at the point with RVP and Chicharito up top.

It was a good game, a UTD B- team gave a Chav A- Team a good run for there money.

Really the FA should so something about it. The excuse of "every club has a few idiot fans" has been overused when it comes to Chelsea. Not many black faces in that crowd are there?

I wonder if the lawyer for the "potential black players' breakaway union" who complained about Clatternburg will make another complaint to the police. Doubt it.

RDM was so desperate to win last night he had to play his big guns, Mata will probably burn out in January at this rate. Rookie manager, showing his complete lack of experience.

I knew that Chelsea was going to play their big guns. A victory meant more to them than to United. If they had lost (which they nearly did) they will have been in trouble. 3 defeats in a row and one against United's reserves (with an inexperienced central defence partnership). Di Mateo said that this result showed that the Sunday match was heavily influenced by officials. Of course we all know that the officials had a mjor impact on Sunday but this is not proved by this result - totally different match and different teams at least from United. Understand why he said it but nevertheless nonsensical <ok>
