I think he's finding the game a tad harder now he hasn't got Messi to pass to....

A good player on his day, but not someone that I'd be frightened of in this league, based on his showings thus far.

Then your going into more technical terms. End of the day when you look at how a player did either at the end of the season or even when they're sold you only look at what they actually did for the club

Perfect explain is Downing, his goals and assists for us was very poor but he had a great chances created for us. No one is gonna think back to Downing and think 'aw remember that chance he created where we almost scored? Wow what a player' no it goes back to basics, did he score or assist enough? No? Then he wasn't good enough.

I rate Markovic but his stats are very poor, when Sturrudge was pushed onti the wing for Chelsea his stats were solid even though that wasn't position, Gerrard played DM for us but his goals and assists were still solid. Good players will make difference where ever on the pitch, yes it's unfair he hasn't played in his natural position but you still expect chances to be made.

But Gerrard was awful in the DM role and was a big reason why we conceded 50 odd goals.

And Markovic was rarely used in his correct position, only 20 and in a new country and culture.

Anyways, the point of this is I said we need to use Markovic on the left of an attacking trio behind the striker. This is his best position I feel and would add more speed to the attack.

That's when we should judge him. Unfortunately, some idiot decided to put him on loan.

All I'm asking for tomorrow is a nine-man-defence, waste time/throw the ball away/feign injury/tens of niggly fouls and obstructions, and try and nick a goal. Then for Jurgen to go to the Liverpool fans screaming and holding the club badge.

Won't happen, as I just don't think we have the players to do it. I expect a Chelsea win by 2 goals.

Marky Mark wasn't a huge hit when he played under Rodgers but I am curious how he would be under Klopp... If Klopp can get the best out of him.

I was under the impression that he was better out wide though and Klopp would presumably play him more narrow. Is that not the caelse with Markovic, is he better narrower?

Put him out wide but let him drift in centrally.

Klopps system is 4231 - Markovic could be perfect for the left hand side of the 3 behind the striker. Firmino centrally and Coutinho on the right.

Jose Mourinho cannot promise Champions League spot

Barclays Premier League: Chelsea v Liverpool
    Venue:
Stamford Bridge Date: Saturday, 31 October
Kick-off: 12:45 GMT Coverage: Live commentary on BBC radio 5 live, live text commentary on BBC Sport website and app, Match of the Day highlights on BBC One 22:25.
Boss Jose Mourinho says he "cannot promise" that Chelsea will qualify for the Champions League next season.
The defending Premier League champions sit 15th in the table after winning three league games this season.
Reports have suggested the 52-year-old could lose his job if the Blues are beaten by Liverpool on Saturday.
But Mourinho refused to comment on whether he has received reassurances from Chelsea's board and owner Roman Abramovich about his future.
Asked if he had been given a guarantee, Mourinho replied: "I don't have to tell you."

Mourinho's body language analysed by Professor Geoff Beattie
In August, Mourinho signed a four-year contract extension until June 2019, but Chelsea have suffered the worst title defence since the Premier League began and have lost half of their 10 league games this season.
Abramovich has previously axed managers when Chelsea's place in the Premier League's top four and qualification for the Champions League the following season had been in doubt.
But Mourinho pointed to the failure of Manchester United and Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League in recent seasons.

Surely you'd have Coutinho on the left and Markovic on the right so they cut inside?
The width comes from the fullbacks, not those two anyway.

Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly take the Chelsea’s job, but he has one condition - he is offered a permanent deal.
Dark clouds have been hovering over Stamford Bridge this season after the Blues’ dismal displays.
The Daily Mirror claim Ancelotti is in the frame to replace Jose Mourinho should he get the sack, and has made it clear to Roman Abramovich exactly what he wants.

Firmino and Ibe deserve to start. Firmino will almost definitely start, so replace crapllana for him.

I think we'll do well to get anything out of this game.

I hope Roman says to Mourinho that he's staying no matter how bad it gets. that way if Moureen wants to go he has to walk out with no payoff. if he stays and the Chavs go from bad to worse then it'll put an end to his "special one" bullshit tag.

oh, and no millions to spend in January either!
