We need a player like Ings or Sturridge. Someone who can create and attack.

Benteke would be an improvement over what we have on but style will need to change... Less possession and more crossing.

 

I agree with that too, but as captain and with his work ethic he will stay on. I would personally bring Ibe and Benteke on.

 

He's playing as the striker and is getting no service. It's hard for anyone to play well in such a set up without support.

 

Stop the Moreno abuse he's one of ours! He's gonna score and shut you all up.

 

His work ethic is negated by the fact he can't control a ball. But as you say, it's what will ensure he stays on.

Get Benteke on, move Firmino into the attacking mid. Can't wait. They're there for the taking!

 

We've had more possession but Chelsea are more dangerous. Bar another piece of magic from Coutinho (he doesnt strike twice in one game.)

We're too predictable to be likely to score again. Chelsea more dangerous on break.

We need to change or be more creative or Chelsea is the more likely to win despite our possession.

 

IF we concede again, it will be because of Moreno. Weakest link by far today

 

I think we've certainly done well to get back into the team. But we got control after they took the lead, and teams tend to concede possession and to look to counter.

Having said that, we showed 'character' in coming back from a goal down so I'm happy. Still sloppy mistakes are the cause for the goals conceded - Moreno needs to wake up but Milner and Clyne should be doing a lot more down that side.

All in all, positive 45 but need to test the keeper more. Shift Firmino in between Coutinho and Lalana to get more creativity to the front man.

Someone creates space for Coutinho and the little magician can do those things.
