But that would have been the second time they had been in and might have meant a different quality of player coming to them.

Mourinho is lucky it's not 1980, RA might well have had him liquidated <whistle>

  4. Spurs were always going to lose Modric and Bale though.

I agree, but they might have replaced with better quality. Why did VDV leave?

Strangely optimistic for this game. I think they're there for the taking and I think we'll be out of the blocks straight away (as we were against Spurs).

Either Benteke up front or play Firmino as the false 9.

Beware the wounded animal. They will very much have an edge to them we have to be ruthless or this could easily turn into a defeat.
I expect all sorts of tricks designed to break up the game, they won't want the game to flow and will play very dirty.

We simply have to be ruthless and get goals, if we do we could really damage Chelsea for the season. If we get wrapped up in the silly games or don't take chances we'll lose this 1-0

1 1 draw would do me tbh another point from a tough away game would do nicely.

I'd normally take that but feel that they are there for the taking if we approach it right. They are in the **** and fighting to get out we have to stick the boot in, we haven't been great at that in recent years, hopefully the new managers aggresive approach will mean that we are more ruthless and go for a win from the start.

it's good just not knowing we'll lose before kickoff as we would be if Brod was in the job. :D

I agree, he would over think everything. I think he'll be a good manager in years to come as long as he gets the right man next to him. He thinks on the game a lot and understands systems and the science behind the game, what he forgets is the passion behind the game.

I had a cappucino this morning, I was feeling quite rebellious and want to re-connect with my working class roots.
