Many established premier sides will lose by more than that away at Chelsea this season and te fact we matched th for 63 minutes we can take heart from. Pre-match I felt if we could keep it to one or two we'd have done well as oppose to losing 4 or 5 so the performance was good. Play like we did today and past week we will pick up points against the like of Burnley, West Brom, Sunderland and yes Hull and QPR
Some very good individual performances - class told in the end ... a shame that two very good chances fell to Nuge and not to Ulloa ... but if the team performs to that level week in, week out, we will be OK ...
Was refreshing to see a lower team go there and not "park the bus ". Credit to Pearson for having a go
The main thing about today was being competitive and proving that we are a Premier League side We certainly did that, while overall Chelsea's class was too much we certainly made them work for their points
I wonder how things would have turned out if we'd played our first choice team? Would have loved to see how Drinky and Vardy would have got on.
Never happy with a defeat but that was pretty impressive. Shows we do have depth and the quality to be in every game. As mentioned when we get the first team on we will be a very good side.
Have them kind of performances against anyone out of last years top 8 and theres no reason we cant take all 3 points from them So glad no-one is slating Nugent for his chances, we don't need a scapegoat in these kind of matches, the only difference between the teams today was the cost of the squads.
Totally agree mate. I was half expecting a few moans about Nugent but thankfully everyone has focused on our impressive performance.
