There are always a lot of knee jerk comments during the game on here. I've no problem with that, but we will get better. What the **** was all that high pitch jeering of our newbie defender, ffs I thought it was a load of LGBT supporters.
Well we got beat by a better side on the day!!! BUT when are the officials going to be consistent, they aren’t because they are fkg sub standard. A couple of weeks ago a penalty was awarded to Brighton when Robinson kicked Wellbecks foot, tonight Poveda had the same thing.... nothing, also a few weeks ago there was an offside given against us!!! Yep the fkg FA are still after us, but fck em were Leeds and proud of it.
Meslier - 7. Some great saves. Some dodgy moments. The ball he rolls through the middle of our centre backs in to midfield is his achilles heel. That needs stopping altogether. Ayling - 5. Poor by his standards. His whole game was off tonight. Cooper - 6. To be fair Coops did ok throughout. Couple of dodgy moments including first minute 2nd half. Tripped for Zouma goal. Tried to bring the ball out. Koch - 6. Obviously injured. Still had time for the now obligatory losing of his man Giroud at a corner. Alioski - 4. Nothing went right for him. Typical Alioski... couple of good performances followed by a game where it looks like it's the first time he has played. Phillips - 8. Another strong indication that he belongs at the very top level. Sublime assist with his wrong foot. Good positioning. Dallas - 5. Struggled in the middle. Looked more confident at full back. Kept going but was swimming against the tide. Klich - 4. Got his arse handed to him by Kante in every department. Harrison - 4. Lucky to still be in the side recently. Over hit and under hit crosses. Poor touch. James had him well under control. Raphinha - 5. Not great defensively. Had his moments going forward and looked one of the most likely. Just wasn't happening for him. Worth a run in the team. Bamford - 6. Scored. Other than that didn't see him. Not even pressing the defence. Subs. Llorente - 6. Baptism of fire. Did ok in patches. Lost the ball too much. Couple of errors in defence but happy to give him benefit of the doubt in his first game after a spell out injured. Tough game. Poveda - 6. Looked lively enough. Should have gone down for the penalty. Need an end product Ian or you won't be here long. Rodrigo - 6. Some nice touches. Couple of poor touches. On a side note Chelsea seemed mightily relieved to get the third goal. We've come a long way in the Bielsa era. We never got the bounce of the ball all night tonight and the ref was questionable a few times. VAR ****ed us on the penalty. One of those nights. Tough to have all that go against you and still be in the game at the death. Onwards and upwards!
settle down tiger there are subtler ways of getting revenge 1 winning in the face of adversity 2 letting the refs tyres down in the car park and a vandal scratch all along the side normally get the message across
I agree mate, I can’t stand the tosser, it’s just we can’t afford to play as a group of individuals as the difference in quality is immense. If we fail to play as a team like we did tonight it will always be the same outcome.
As usual not much too much to argue with in those ratings. Thought alioski was a mark below everyone, Harrison and Raphinha very poor. Klich was unusually quiet, and that may well be down to Kante but I didn’t see him as being as poor as those I’ve just mentioned.
i have just been re reading my comments and have come to the conclusion i have to be team mascot . Red beret skin coloured Michelin man outfit with a big dongle bought from a sex shop glued at the front to scare and intimidate the opposition worth a goal start that one
