no one says playing a smaller club guarantees 3 points, but there is that expectation you should beat them (hence the difference in player quality).

Still that doesn't detract where we went wrong and reasons why teams fail to get 3 points.

Its not that we lost, so much as we got battered 3-0 AT HOME by a Bournemouth.
If they had snatched a 0-1 win or a 1-2 then you can say "Oh well, bad day at the office and Bournemouth got their tactics right", but the PL champions shouldn't be losing 3-0 at home to relegation candidates.

Why ? What right have you to expect that you cant lose 3 - 0.....It is 11 V 11 and if you play better than your opponent then you deserve to win....It showed that Bournemouth got their game plan spot on.....they did their homework...

If you need that explaining to you, then you may aswell give up now.

It showed Bournemouth got their plan spot on, but also showed that we didn't.
You expect more from the players and manager we have is all.
If the Champions get battered at home by relegation fodder, then something is not right.

I'm pretty well convinced now that Conte is not making the effort to put out his best team every game, and too often settles for not losing, as opposed to trying to win. If I'm right, which is at best a 50-50 chance, then he should be gone ASAP. If not, then he's not up to the job.
Blind Freddie can see that Cahill is hopelessly inept at CD, slightly better at left back, but not up to the standard required anymore. With Christensen understandably still in a learning curve, both Dave and the left back slightly ease off their attack. Make Cahill that left back and the 3 as a group lose most attacking ambitions. Alonso suffers, Moses suffers and the midfield have to step up. However they can't because , Fabregas aside, there is no one who's good enough to carry our attack . Factor in no striker, or none who can play Contes fixation with a "target man", and we go out game after game unbalanced and under powered. Hazard becomes giddy running in circles and we only have midgets in the box. Kenedy is gone, Musonda is gone, Ampadu never gets a go, yet all have played well and potentially will be better than those playing regularly.
What a mess. Whatever Conte is doing, his job is now surely unviable. He's too timid with selections and useless with subs, and he's pissed off Roman.

And the bugger is, he CAN coach really well.
Pity the management can't understand that they are largely to blame for our merry go round managers. They need someone who's not an Abramovich crony and has some proper football knowledge. Someone to work with the Manager, not against him. Right now we are weakening the team, diminishing the brand and wasting huge amounts of funds that should be making us better.

Could be worse, you could support Spurs.
They believe they have the best players in each position in the league (except Walker and Rose who could be easily replaced once they wanted out), the best manager in the league (possibly the world) who's coaching and fitness training gets players to a new level.
It must be hard for them to understand why they currently sit behind 3 **** teams with no midfield or defence and crap managers (and have for most of the season), must be the refs fault

I have also noticed they think a big player moving from one big team to another big/bigger team for money is a mercenary so they should target players from lower leagues who will obviously not be mercenary's by moving from a small team to a bigger team for more money <laugh>

Both Rudi & Cahill are jittery at best. Cannot stick Marco 'Robben' Alonso in there and expect them to be solid.

Robben defends better than Alonso. Fact!!

Every opposition attack goes thru Alonso. Ffs he is worse defender than Moses.

the Spurs delusion is truly something to behold, it is surpassing anything Liverpool fans ever displayed now too.
Also we must not forget about their Saint Levy obsession.
Have never seen a set of fans **** over a chairman as much as they have over Levy.

Occasionally teams get beaten at home by teams outside the top 6 the difference in this case was the manner in which Chelsea lost....this was a rout and a capitulation. Fans don't believe their teams are bullet-proof but they at least want to see some evidence of intestinal fortitude from their side.

I'm using intestinal fortitude in my next post. Be it positive or negative, thanks Liqui.
