    He was referring to the kopites who were mauling him on social media not Evertonians.

    We share a City but we don't share much else.

    Not true, his comments on the News Talk radio show about Liverpool including LFC and its inhabitants caused the backlash, the newspaper article is his response to the backlash.

    No doubt his affiliation to Utd in his mind gives him licence to say **** like that, otherwise why would someone from Dublin think they could hold some kind of moral high ground.

    I read the piece and therefore know what caused the man to get dogs abuse, but he was talking about kopites and was attacked by kopites. Not complicated really.

    He referred to scousers(your age)looking like clones of Jimmy Savile, now if you show that Evertonions in the city dress a completely different way to reds I'll agree with you, but the prick meant scousers in general not just "kopites"

    He's a cheeky ****, older fellers wear boss clobber these days.:biggrin:

    They do at Goodison ;)

    <laugh>

    I know he's a prick like, I only piped up as JB was trying to make out there's no difference between the respective fanbases, and there is in some ways. It's like saying Rangers and Celtic, City and United, Brum and Villa etc etc are all the same in the way they view things, and they're not, as each club has developed it's own culture and 'way' over the decades.

    But does it not piss you off that outsiders are lazy enough to generalise their derogative comments to "liverpool" or "scouser" when they are talking about LFC fans? It's YOUR city..why should you have to translate.

    People don't slag "brummies" or "glaswegians" off and only really mean one club....

    I just think its lazy arsed wumming.

    Edit: oh and as you would agree, doesn't even include the majority of LFC fans who don't live there lol.....unlike you Blues...who live...somewhere around the town :emoticon-0116-evilg

    The scouser stereotypes are 30 years out of date, and I've heard them that many times (in a football context and general life) that they're water off a ducks, and I generally just laugh at them ( not with them)

    The beaut in that article was trying to be clever taking a pop at LFC and used the term scouser when patently meaning kopites, as he's a United fan. Who's arsed? He's a tit.
