You come across as ridiculously pretentious and arrogant. The laughable thing is you criticise Chelsea, Liverpool and City for forming a "conspiracy theory" (although it can be backed up with factual evidence) yet come up with one yourself (one that cannot be backed up by any)
How football has changed from the days when I watched Ozzie, Tambling and Greaves. It;s really a sad business when the issues that inspired this article are now the big issues!
You have an incredible talent for self delusion and an even better one for writing fiction. You ,like the rest of us, have not got a clue what did or didn't happen, but you are prepared to sprout your opinion as if it were fact. A clear case of arrogance overcoming ignorance.
The SBL is inherently a racist organisation and should be challenged on this basis. Imagine a football club for black players or a football club for white players, how would that go down? Football has and does provide fantastic opportunities for people of all colours and creeds more so than practically any other industry. The only criteria is that you are a good enough footballer. If the rest of society behaved like this we would not have a problem. The real race problems have been in Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Tennis and Golf where colour bars have applied at various times, Augusta, South Africa and so on. Of course these are sports played by 'top people' so they were allowed to get away with it. It's ironic that football should be spotlighted in this way when it has historically been the least offender by a long long way.
This is how I perceive what happened. Firstly to deal with the police complaint against the referee. This was not made by the player or his club. It was dropped because the police found no evidence or victim. This is because the complaint was made by someone not directly involved with either Chelsea or football. The police dropping their enquiry does not mean the player made up an allegation or that the ref did not say something inappropriate, it just means no one involved directly wanted this to be a police matter. The complaint to the FA is basically the word of a player against the word of the referee. The ref has three other people listening to his conversations, and they are all his close colleagues. No one but these five people can have any idea what was actually said and the possibility exists that all have truly reported what they believe what they said and thought they heard. There is also the possibility one or more are lying about what happened. The FA though can not clearly call anyone a liar as there are always circumstances for a misunderstanding. The FA is a bit like a large public school. Ondemki-Smith Jr. has complained that some older boys from the upper fifth has been calling him names during lunch break. Martin Batternberg III and his chums claim they were only asking for directions to the chapel for a quick lunch time prayer. The Principle knows that Martin and his gang are all respected prefects, but Ondemki-Smith Jr. has been an honest hard working pupil if not a bit hot headed on the rugger field. He doesn't wish to upset colleagues who appointed the prefects and the young lad's parents contribute a fair amount to the school fund for a new stable block and is good friends with the school governors. What to do, what to do? Tell them not to all be silly fellows, shake hands there's good chaps. Hey Ho time for Tiffin, pass the gravy train.
Attention-grabbing hack from what I can make out - fact is that the club were following FA rule 14 which sets out any incident however minor must be immediately reported to the match day official. We even had an outside lawyer firm investigate the claims and followed their advice......slander my ASS!
