This Clyne rumour is presumably based on nothing more than him saying he is a Chelsea fan on his twitter Q&A the other day. As usual, nothing to see here.
If Clyne was so desperate to go to a big club, then he would have gone to Man Utd when they were scouting him before he came to us.
It was that he is to be in a brand new production of The Banana Splits, and be paid millions forever off the back of it, because his name sounds like, la-la-la, lala-la-la, tra-la-la, lala-la-la. See, it does.
Every day a newspaper editor must fill the pages of the paper with stories. If there aren't enough stories to achieve this then they make some up. This story fits in with that and is pure fiction. Anyway as everyone knows nobody wants to go and play for or manage Chelsea anymore.
To put this 'offer' into perspective, how much would it cost us to buy a good PL quality right back? Might as well stick with a class player who can only get better and is already settled into the squad. The papers are just bored....silly season come early.
They can have both Clyne and Shaw for the price they paid for Torres plus the wages they have paid him up to now.
Ha. Don't worry, according to a United fan blog, we don't have to worry about them coming for Shaw as they have Fabio. He's better.... ...I'm happy for them to think that.
I'm sure that Shaw will get a decent contract from Nicola and, if he has any sense, he will realise that he will do better here for the next few years. Players who leave us often go backwards for a while initially. Clyne, being older, will realise this.
Fergie may not necessarily think that, but he's known to be very loyal to his players, so I think he'll be determined to get the best out of Fabio and Buttner rather than replace them.
