Maybe here's an idea, people should create an 'off-topic' thread and make it a sticky so you can discuss these 'off-topic' issues, just like they do on other boards.
This thread is also proof of something I talked about before, when Arsenal are winning and there are no major issues, people simply lose interest in talking about Arsenal on this board. The match threads with the most comments are always the games which we lost. I guess it's harder to give out praise compared to giving out stick.
Is it possible to go a month, or a week, without stories like this coming out from UKIP? http://www.buzzfeed.com/jamieross/ukip-official-describes-leicester-as-a-shthole-full-of-pakis
To be fair the articles first line is that UKIP are investigating this man after he made a stupid facebook comment and the final line is a quote from a UKIP spokesperson saying the man is facing disciplinary proceedings. So the party obviously don't agree with the individual in question!
It's not surprising really given they are the only party to openly discuss immigration. Especially given the BNP has become insignificant. There's definitely racists attracted to the party because of these things. That doesn't make it a racist party though, doesn't make all there followers racist and doesn't make there policies racist. They get rid of anyone who is found making racist comments. And finally as the party leading the charge against the EU they will continue to get support regardless of the racist element that have been attracted to them.
They haven't got rid of the bloke in South Thanet who admitted being an ex member of the National Front
I don't think Cameron would dare enter a coalition with UKIP!! More likely though would be the DUP offering Parliamentary support for more concessions and money for the province.

Chelsea Paris Metro chants: Five contest banning order http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-32051506 Five men accused over racist chanting on the Paris Metro ahead of Chelsea's Champions League game in the city have appeared before magistrates. Scotland Yard is seeking a football banning order after Chelsea fans were filmed singing racist chants and refusing to let a black man on a train. The men, who appeared before Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court earlier, are contesting the banning order. Their civil case has been adjourned until July. Lawyers representing one of the men, Jordan Munday, 20, of Ellenborough Road, Sidcup, south-east London, said in a statement their client denied any involvement in the chanting and was not facing any criminal charges. They said he would contest the "draconian" civil banning order, which can restrict a person's movements for between three to five years. "We question why the Metropolitan Police Service has chosen to involve itself in an incident which occurred in another European country, and only after the football fans have returned to the UK, particularly in view of the fact we are aware that football officers from the Metropolitan Police Service were on the Metro train in question", they added. 'Unable to work' The other men police suspect of involvement in the racist incident are: Richard Barklie, 50, of Victoria Street, Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland; Dean Callis, 32, of Liverpool Road, Islington, north London; Josh Parsons, 20, of Woodhouse Place, Dorking and William Simpson, 26, of Hengrove Crescent, Ashford, Surrey. Mr Barklie, a former policeman for the Royal Ulster Constabulary and Police Service of Northern Ireland, has previously denied being racist. His legal team said there was an explanation for his involvement on the Metro on 17 February and added: "He did not participate in racist chanting and singing and condemns any behaviour supporting that." Controversy erupted when fans were filmed singing racist chants and refusing to let the man on the Paris Metro train ahead of the match against Paris St Germain in February.
Yes because being stopped from shouting racist abuse at a football match (something which is against the law, as well as being against each football clubs rules) is very draconian! I love the fact that the lawyers for Jordan Munday are questioning why he is being punished rather than trying to defend what he did. It's like their argument is "OK he's a racist and acted abhorrently, but why the hell are you punishing him for it?"
