I don't think sturridge can take all the blame, a lot of these players grow up being told how great they are and given a fortune in wages before they've actually achieved anything that a small percentage are bound to turn out arrogant like him. What these players really need is people strong enough to say no to them and keep their feet on the ground. I really think their family should be doing this, but sometimes it's the parents that are the biggest problem...
Sort of agree but where do we stop? You can blame our defenders for letting them score and the midfield for letting them through or our strikers for missing chances, where do we stop? Agree the arse boy should have scored his second pen but that was in normal time. The penalty shootout is a different thing because it's after the 90mins. For me The Chelsea boy tried to be cocky with his pen and he blew it for team GB.
I think this the problem though. We as a nation are divided as quickly (if not quicker) than we are united. If GB were good enough they'd have won in 90 minutes and for that reason alone we cannot blame an individual, we have to give credit to the South Koreans who converted every penalty and played well throughout
Personally, I think it's ridiculous that footie is in the Limpiks anyway. Why not have rugby, cricket, darts and tiddlywinks why they're at it?
Its no more ridiculous than having syncro swimming, gymnastics or anything that uses "artistic impression" which means its not a sport. Dont even get me started at the mincing on ice. Thats like having ballroom dancing at the summer olympics.
