With all the miserable stuff going on this season, how nice to know our ladies are about to become champs! A pity we can't field this lot to play for the rest of the season in the Premier- or can we????

This board is dead mate. Credit to you for turning up but the majority of posters are glory hunting, fair weather fans. They're happy to give it the large one when Chelsea are doing well but when the team are relegation fodder they're nowhere to be seen. Wasn't that long ago that they were happy to support the Ladies Team. Embarrassing really.

Don't City and your next opponents have a slight say in this?

The special/happy one has broke his magic wand and they are all struggling to understand it at the moment :emoticon-0100-smile

True but they were so vocal and populating so many other boards before Jose went mad. They loved telling other fans that they were plastics, even going so far as to counting their away fans. Why so quiet now?

Shock is a terrible thing and can need much therapy to overcome :(

Chelsea ladies are the epitome of what a squad together can achieve. Ji is the humblest super star you'll ever meet. The girls don't have a siege mentality, they laugh and joke and maintain great friendships across various other 'rival' teams but on the pitch share a perfect vision and commitment to each other. This is what Emma Hayes has managed to do. The players don't have a bad word for any of the staff and the manager and lets people do their jobs.

Well, one person was and he was attempting to bait everyone.

I think our board is pretty much the same as it was in the 2nd half of last season, and even before then we've never been the livliest of boards. I could also say the same about rival fans as you are about us though, where was everyone when we were winning the league?

We were on the United board reading London's Limpest Wrist's threads.

I was watching on of the games last night,Saw ji do a superb take done and shot.

General question though, why are women goalkeepers so ****e and small?? When is someone going to recruit a volleyball player?

I guess because women's football is still about those wanting to play and enabling them to play. Goalkeeper is a specialist position. Is there anyone who has ever played football and never played in goal? For most of us it is never again. Those full size proper goals are intimidating. I was unfortunate enough to be considered the outfield player to replace the goalie if injured or sent off. I had a certain amount of skill and physique for it. I didn't want to play there!

So when you get someone who actually WANTS to play keeper you throw them in there. There are some talented goalies. Just look at Carly Telford, Chelsea's own Hedvig Lindahl and Marie Hourihan. Chelsea lost the title last year on goal difference because Marie, who had kept goal superbly all season got injured twenty minutes into our last game. Our sub was a teenager who had never played a competitive game before (is why we have two top keepers now which is so hard to maintain). The sub had an awful 20 minutes start. Second half she was much better but by then the damage was done.

The lack of skill and physical presence in the woman's game is less to do with female attitude or stature and more with a lack of full time coaches and decent wages to train all week. The goalies will get better.

Yes-hah! They did it in a canter. 4-0 against Sunderland in front of a record attendance (2710) Lady blues- show the boys how it's done!
