Yeah. I just meant the TV money we get in the first place covers the loss of ticket sales. Just realised I didnt type what I meant.
I see your point, in this conversation; but I did Wembley because it was a special occasion, our, Hull City AFC's special occasion. The price o f our tickets isn't special, it's routine - routinely extortionate. Do you recall what Allam promised?
Reason I asked him was he said ANY football match. Our tickets are't too bad in general compared to others. I can't recall Allam promising anything. He said he hoped it would be possible if the stadium was expanded, It was an aspiration. I had an aspiration for a long time to find Claudia Schiffer and Ellie McPherson awaiting me to be the subject of a torrid threesome. It didn't' happen but it wasn't a promise.
Well said. The apathy of our fair City was there for all to see when tickets were 16 quid the other week. The ground will be fuller cos of all the plastic Chelsea fans from hull attending. So fair play to the Allams for making them pay through the nose for the privilege.
It's shocking disregard for the Chelsea fans coming up from London, but on the plus side, we're fleecing the local glory hunters. If you want to see Hazard's arse in person you have to pay 50 notes for the privelege. All's well that ends well.
Sky didn't use the studio in Hull vs Tottenham that day, they used their studio at Selhurst Park (the 1:30 palace vs liverpool game) to host Super Sunday. So they ain't actually used it yet.
Yeah that's what I'm saying. That day is the first time they used Palace's studio (over a year after they installed it). You're right, they still haven't used ours this season. I think the last to use it were ITV against Sunderland in the cup.
He did say 'any game' which is why I said I understood your point in that conversation, but I thought that Wembley had a significance unworthy of being lumped into a discussion about routine league game prices, I still do. I don't see the point in taking solace from comparison against other extortionate prices; it seems a bit daft to me, they are all bloody extortionate. Perhaps you should have asked which promise I was referring to. Try the one that said season ticket prices would have to be increased to offset the lost income that a FA no to their name-change application would bring. This would be the lost funding they have never been able to quantify. Do you believe that their name-change would take the prices back to their old level?
What was 'well said', Chazz. So you believe that all fans should have to pay extortionate prices just so that a few, who you wish to label as 'plastic Chelsea fans from hull' can pay through the nose? What a sadsack you are. I can remember you being quite opinionated about the wrongs of lumping all fans together in terms of disorder/football hooliganism, so what has changed your perspective here? Not so well said, methinks, hey, Chazz.
Do you have predictive text, Chazz? 'Chelsea from Hull' is what comes up, you have to override it to get hull. Is there something Freudian going on with you giving Chelsea ascendance over little ole hull? Just wondering.
So you weren't referring to Allam's mention of £10 tickets, as so many wrongly do, as a promise to have £10 tickets? Why would the game change bring prices back to their old level?
Doesn't affect me too much when it's moved to a Sunday. Monday Night Football on the other hand is an absolute abomination.
No. If you mean name-change, why not - as e said that no name-change would mean price increase, so a name-change should provide the funds to return to those Easy-Street days - in his world.
I don't understand why people complain about this, when you buy a pass you know across the course of the season 4 or 5 games are likely to be moved for tv. We've been given two months notice, that's plenty of time to make alternative arrangements. I'm an out of town season ticket holder so these changes effect me more than most but its just part of the PL, not worth getting upset about.
