Sorry, but that's garbage. Adams was given a nigh on impossible mission and unlike his predecessor, he had neither the time nor the kitty / transfer window to enable him to at least have a chance of righting the wrongs.

Hughton had every opportunity to fine tune and improve things in January and we ended up with an aging left sided squad player (30) and an even more aged (33) back up centre half both on loan. Neither of them could get a game at their parent clubs and neither of them really give a toss whether we sink or swim <yikes> (Not blaming them for that, btw)
    Nice work CH <doh>

Said that weeks ago once I saw your run in. Don't understand the logic of any club changing manager with 5 games left - what chance does a new boss have - particularly in light of your fixtures?

I thought it was a good question too tbh. Not actually sure of the answer.

Jonas was probably only gotten in for cover and Yobo I thought has been our best defender since he came in. My understanding was that the club tried to sign an attacking midfielder but couldn't get one.

As for Adams being on a mission impossible, why then put him in the situation if it is impossible? Surely it is better to keep a manager who has only conceded two goals at home in the league in 2014 with a track record of winning games when it really matters and who set the team up right more often than not against the nature of the opposition we have/have had in our last 4 games?

Put it this way, Neil Adams has had a far more difficult job to keep us up than what Hughton had.

It wasn't impossible but quite significantly more difficult.

Cotswold and Wellyblue, can I respectfully suggest you both hit the "IGNORE" button on each other, as I have no intention of sticking around if your malicious and ill-intentioned sniping and childish bickering is going to be a feature of NCFC and ITFC's next season locking horns in the Chumpionship.

Why not take it onto facebook or twitter so every other forum reader doesn't get caught up in the ****ing (pointless) crossfire? :emoticon-0112-wonde

It's certainly going to be interesting next season, I'm quite looking forward to WW3, perhaps some of the folk on this board could meet up for the East Anglian Derby, no snooker balls in socks allowed though.

Sunderland managed an excellent result against Chelsea. We can only dream but it is worth noting that Petr Chech and John Terry will not feature due to injury which might give us a glimmer of hope.

Yes, in fact Chelsea played some squad players at the expense of their usual stars, such as Demba Ba and Kalas the latter of who I have never heard of but still managed to comfortably beat Liverpool. I said it was a faint glimmer of hope.

I think you two should meet up before the East Anglian Derby in a car park, as Dave is the mod, he can be the ref ;)

I'm not what it is about Chelsea, but when they set up to defend they just never concede! Look at their results against Athleti and Liverpool etc they never really looked like conceding. Of course they have good players but you have to say Jose is the master of setting up a team how to keep a clean sheet when he needs to.

More often than not they also manage to completely mug their opposition for a goal on the counter-attack.
