The Rose issue all hinges around Spurs use of the Bale money and a new LB has been mentioned many times now for the Spuds. If they spend big on Fabio Coentrao then he will be a starter and Rose will be benched and I don't think the player himself will accept that. However, I don't think we would be in a position to get Rose until January and that we have already decided to give Colback his shirt and a decision on a permanent LB will not be made this summer but in the next transfer window. A striker and central midfield play-maker are the priorities now.
We shall see but the imminent departure of Sess will now focus all attention on his replacement and a new striker imo. I think that 2 weeks ago Sess wasn't as definitely going, and a full back was still high on the list of targets but since then, a bid has come in and been accepted and everything channeled into his replacement. Its just my thoughts and not an itk moment?

Spurs would be foolish to spend money on a lb They won't be spending anymore money once Bale goes anyway Sess leaving has been a possibility all summer so the club will definitely have a replacement lined up. Reckon we'll get a centre forward in to replace Sess, Ki + 1 more cm (maybe Bourceanu from Steaua) and a lb.
I'm with PDC Effect. Don't get me wrong, I think we have alternatives (possibly Assou-Ekotto) but i think rose is next on the list. If spurs don't bring in a lb then it will neither and we'll go elsewhere. If they do then I have a hunch it will be whichever LB spurs want to sell. It's worth noting that Spurs signed a lb in January to and are clearly looking to bring in another. If spurs bring in another LB, Either Rose or Assou-Ekotto will be available.
