Sky sports: Fabio says Bent Completely different
"Bent was not as good before the World Cup as he is at this moment," said the England coach. "He was not the same player.

"I went to see Aston Villa twice. It is completely different. Before he was only playing for the box. Now, he is a player who can play for the team.

"At Sunderland before, it was important for them to go straight for the goal. I told him he had to change. He had to work a lot, press a lot.

"He has probably changed something in his mind, not only in his style."

Well one thing is certain in my mind.
The next England manager is going to be English,right. Looks very much like Rednapp and if he keeps improving Sunderland, a good chance it could be Bruce.(who else is there)
Watch this space, it could be very funny indeed.
 
Astounding, did he watch the same games as us?
Got a mate who is a brummy and HE called me and said that Bent contributes nothing to the team, but he also added if the only touch he has in a game is a tap in he will live with it.

When have Italians in positions of power ever been honorable, from Caesar(Rome being Italy) through to Berlusconi they have been unhinged by power and this twerp of a national manager is no exception.

Proof positive (if it was needed) of the man's ignorance of NE football. And also whatever I think of Barton as a person I have to belive he should be included in the England team on footballing ability... now Carroll has left the Mags to join a 'big team' I predict he will become one of Cappello's darlings.

I haven't followed England with any enthusiasm for ages now - crap manager and a predictable clique of players playing staggeringly poor football.

Yeah, well said. And much as I think that Barton is a vile person, I too think he should be in the squad. He is a class footballer.
 
He worries about HOW Darren Bent plays? For gawd's sake, just get him in the team and leave him alone to do what he does!!!!!!!!! I don't care if Darren Bent does hand-stands.
 
This from the man who gave us our worst world cup showing ever.

I refuse to support England while this clown is still in charge.
