Is this not a sad case of having too much too young?
A young man earning a vast sum of money and the fame and adulation that goes with it can i sure be quite a giddy mix. I am not excusing his behaviour in any way but we give these young kids all this sudden wealth and we expect them to cope with it. The media will have a field day in condeming him but he should not be beyond redemption and I hope that he can rebuild his life. The young men who find themselves in this fortunate position must be taught that with wealth comes responsibility and self control, I'm not sure if these kids get this kind of guidance and until we instil this into them I'm afraid that these stories will become far more frequent.
Excuse me resurecting this one - but better than starting a new thread.
Just had a chat with a friend on the phone and she was saying something about sheffield united supporters having a minute's applause for this piece of scum??
Does anyone know if that is for real...and if it actually happened? If it did, that is astonishing - and sheffield united should be kicked out of the league, or at least demoted. Hit them where it hurts. That frankly turns my stomach, and I hope others too.
...if what she told me is wrong, my apologies to any sheffield united supporters reading this and I take it back. She seemed pretty sure about it though.
