I was discussing this with another Saints fan this morning...would we have a huge crowd at Wembley....after all, it isn't our first team and fans have a lot of matches to go to now as we are competing on several fronts. I think we would take decent support, but nowhere near the last time....when we really needed something to cheer after nearly going out of business the year before.* P.s. I'm not sure I would go...not out of any moral stance as I never lets morals get in the way of something I want to do...but more because I am jinxed. My coach broke down on the way to Cardiff and I lost my coach at Wembley and had to hitch a ride. I'm doomed I tell you.
I think our lack of success at winning anything would over-ride the low status prejudice, Saints at Wembley would attract a fair crowd at any level, I wouldn't expect the euphoria of the JPT but you can never tell with our fans.
I doubt that the senior players of lower league sides aren't 'up' for beating a bunch of youngsters from some fancy dan club. I think they would be very much up for it.
Be nice to prove things by our lads running round the Pompey players, but they'd soon stop running with legs missing.
We'll certainly be up for playing Reading u21....a real competitive match between two academies. No excuses here.
I will happily, as a hypocrite, admit I would of attended that game had it happened. Alas, it was not to be...
I think that would be the only game that would be extremely competitive as well as drawing in a big attendance. Both sides would desperately want to win, fans included. We would find it hilarious for our youth side to beat pompey, and the embarrassment they'd face if they lost to our kids would spur them on too! As for the final - as it isnt the first team, I doubt anyone would care too much. We wouldn't get a big attendance for an FA youth cup final and we wouldn't for this either.

Lack of respect for lower division football, really irks me about this competition. This was imposed upon those clubs, because the Football League is DESPERATE to suck up to the Premier League in order to keep getting back-handers from them. It's pathetic. It's not the same competition as the JPT was. Don't be so wet. "I suggest that you all think again about how you support your Club and the game overall" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you are either taking the piss here or you are a ****ing weird.
