Broads failure to walk was a shocking lack of sportsmanship and shows that cricket no longer holds the moral high ground over football. Let's just hope it doesn't determine the outcome of the Test.
Are you ****ing stupid or what? Haddin didn't walk on the final wicket and Clarke reviewed when he hit the ball. The batsmen are within their right to stand their ground. You know nothing about cricket. You've probably just tuned in to watch the Ashes. Neither side see it as cheating. It is the batsman's right to stand their ground and wait for the umpire's decision. They wouldn't walk if they thought they were plumb lbw either. Clarke said Broad did the right thing after yesterday's play ended. If you're out of reviews as a batting side and get a bad decision the opposition side isn't going to call you back. Oh and by the way. What do you have to say about the lbw Trott clearly hit and the Agar stumping that was out? Oh I bet you weren't watching were you?
When has anyone ionvolved in crciket ever tried to claim the moral high ground over football? Rugby yes but not cricket.
Really? News to me. Would you care to show us some of the quotes from cricketers claiming that they are better sportsmen than footballers? As it happens 90% of the time it shouldn't be difficult.
Having played cricket to quite a high standard,I can assure you that NO ONE and I mean NO ONE, walks. The umpire is there to give a decision, and you have to live with it. I reckon for every decision that goes for you.3 will go against. LBW,s are the worst.most amateur umpires don't have a clue. I have been given out so many times against left armers who pitch way outside leg stump, you would not believe. It's not cheating to stand your ground,no way.
Those kind of chat up lines might work with the sheep fella, but its baaad crack if you ask mehhhh. Moral high ground, sportsmanship? Why hand the opposition an advantage? So you can say "well we lost but at least we played with honour". **** that sentimental bollocks. Play to the rules, and the rules say the umpire makes the decision.
With massive gambling scams, the demise of sportsmanship and lager lout fans cricket is in a total mess.
