We'll see but if theres video evidence Makwala was with his physio and not vomiting as per the report and they didn't even try to look at it and he's got normal readings, there should be hell to pay as you saw that the guy who won the 400m had no competition and didnt even run that quick of a time

haha his time would have gotten him 4th at the olympics (tbf he has the record). Sub-44 is okay.

still though, the medical stuff sounds iffy. That rep was unlucky that the decision maker fed her to the wolves

 

Yep, sub 44 is World Class, although he has run sub 43 which is ridiculous!!

The Botswana lad has got an individual time trial tonight to see if he can qualify for the semi final ....which will be run about an hour later. Not an ideal scenario for him, but (a) it gives him a chance and (b) it gives the IAAF a get out of jail card.

He's a 400 m specialist. He's sub 20 seconds for 200m so he should qualify for the semi's but will probably blow up by running two races so close together.

Karsten Warholm you legend! Crossed the line first in the 400m Hurdles and I think he thought he was about fifth. The realisation on his face when he had won gold followed by the appreciation of what he had just done is the highlight of the tournament for me. Proper athletics

 

Miller-Uibo was winning the 400m easy with 20m to go and her hammy has gone

Poor bugger.

 

That's was gutting for her.

 

Basically she **** herself. She was in total command and all she had to do was look straight down the lane and run for home. Instead, she panicked, looking over to the side and basically stressed herself out, leading to a probable hamstring pull.

 

They're saying it might be a quad tear now. Very strange.
