Shut up, okay maybe a harsh penalty, but then again the free kick from whoch United scored wasn't a free kick (so they both cancel out)

I agree it was a red card for newcastle but Rooney should have gone for a kick.

However they guy should have scored at the end looking at the replay

I'll just leave you with them for the minute.

No it was not. The player at the end of the wall shoved the NUFC players out of the way of the ball (foul) then it rebounded and went in of Little peas hand.
Plus. Ben Arfa did not dive. It was not a pen. He got the ball but took the man afterwards. He still went down because of a fair tackle. That's not diving. Would you not have taken it? You always have in the past. Especially with the prime cheat Ronaldo king of divers.
Roony the loony should have been off. But instead BA gets a yellow for telling him he's a loony. No pen for the hand ball. Every 50-50 went your way.
Get ya heed boiled the lot of yiz

With reference to the 'push' in the wall, Young barely nudges Cabaye. Cabaye never reacts nor complains, the ref doesn't deem it a foul, and besides it had no bearing on the goal as Rooney's strike was directed a good 8 feet from where Cabaye was even standing. <doh> Had no bearing whatsoever on the goal.

Yes the goal rebounded and was lucky but did it strike Hernández's hand? From one angle it is inconclusive but from behind the goal you can see Taylor kick the ball at Hernández who is trying to get his hand away but the ball strikes his midriff and not his hand. Also watch the reaction of the Newcastle players. Only 2 raised their hands in a half hearted appeal. Correct decision to allow goal to stand.

With reference to the penalty, crazy stupid decision. Yes the lad never divided but lets not deflect. The stupidity of what happened at OT has nothing to do with Ben Arfa but everything to do with the officials. Rio played the ball, good tackle and not a penalty. End of.

Rooney should have been sent off!!! <laugh> For what! Trying to kick the ball away Coloccini <laugh> The ball got trapped and both players where trying to get at it. Rooney managed to kick the trapped ball once but Coloccini then managed to nick it away and Wayne kicked at nothing!!! No further contact with the ball nor the NUFC defender. Did any of the NUFC players around the incident who had a view react? No. Only Ben Arfa who ran god knows how many yards only to enflame a situation that is well not out of control! What a prat.

Finally nice to see that you have neglected to mention the other pathetic decision towards the end of the match, to rule (incorrectly) offside Hernández's goal. Hernández is level with Ryan Taylor when Giggs plays the ball. Hmmmmmmmmm. Attacking player level with defender. Onside. And to think, no one gets decisions at OT expect Utd. Yeah right.

Our penalty was never a penalty.

Gutierrez's sending off was fair.

Rooney should have at the very least seen yellow.

Hernandez's goal went in off his arm.

The disallowed goal was the right decision, it was tight when the initial ball was played but when Carrick touched it on Hernandez was standing miles offside.

Disagree. Watched it several times, Carrick never touched the ball. The ball was played by Giggs and Hernandez was level with Taylor. Ruling it offside was incorrect. Also the ball did not strike the hand of Hernandez. Did Krull appeal for a hand ball?

Ben Arfa is a ****ing cheat and the FA and refs are a ****ing disgrace. ****ty have obviously paid them all off

kind of sad when you think about it. All that money spent on players and they still have to buy the officials just to overtake us

We must have forgot to pay the one at Anfield yesterday, by the way your name is missing a P!

Even if Carrick didn't touch the ball, which I thought he did, Hernandez was still marginally offside when the ball was initially played. It was very, very close but it's made to look closer by the camera because the camera isn't level either. You can't see that several times as you claim to have and not see that he is off. Could have went either way since the linesman only gets to see it once but it turned out to be the right decision. It was certainly a lot closer than our penalty which was admittedly an abomination.

And the ball does strike Hernandez's arm for the goal. Completely accidental of course but that doesn't change the fact - impossible for the officials to see though as his body was blocking their view. I'm not blinkered, I called things as I saw them all match. You should have been down to ten men a hell of a lot earlier than us also, the ref gave us absolutely nowt all match.

Take it on the chin, take the positives and move on, you cut us open a few times during the game like no attack has so far this season including Spurs and City. If your strikers learn how to finish I see no reason why you can't close the gap that's emerged at the top.

If any part of Hernandez's body was offside it was only a part of his arm and hand. Sorry but how many times does that happen in a season and the goal stands? Advantage to the attacker? Also the footage shows the ball striking his centre mass and clearly shows him pulling his hand away and not towards the ball. But as you say take it on the chin. Swings and roundabouts. Just amazed how many people still claim Man Utd always get the benefit of the doubt when it is clearly untrue.

It would be sad if it were true and not being something that your stupid little brain has concocted. Sad twat!

I can't believe this crass reply. He pushed 2 players away from the path of the ball. Regardless of whether it was going to hit them. It is still a foul.
It struck his hand and went in yes and i agree it is not a foul unles intentional. But you were lucky. It's ok for you to be lucky but no-one else eh?
We agree on the pen. But you have benefitted a lot more from dodgy decisions than anyone in the history of creation.
Roony was going wild. He had lost it. The ball was long gone and he kicked 2 more times. Our players did'nt react like a bunch of Man U looneys. So you think it was OK. If that had been you lot it would have been our guy off and banned for months and probably jailed. You would all have been hounding the ref for an hour. Sir Fs head would have exploded. He was viciously kicking as hard as he could without the slightest concern if he injured a fellow footballer. He, and you are arseholes to think it was ok.
You have the audacity to complain about ben Arfa running up to the Ref. Man U players are reknowned more for this than any and all teams put together. Look at the mob around the ref after the pen was given. It's every time anything happens they mob up and get away with it. Roony is a **** end of.
The SAF had the cheek to say you slaughtered us. We had one chance. Arsehole sweaty sock twat. We had 57%play in the first half and more shots. When the ref cheated at every opportunity apart from the pen to give you lot every decision. The sent off Gutty. Who did not deserve it. Then and only then did you lot get on top. Hardly surprising really. And the diving hand balling little snot was offside. Unless you are a woman and don't understand the offside rule.
Wish i had more time but it's time to knock off.
Bye

Crass reply <doh> Watch the footage Young nudged 1 player not two. Also had no bearing on the goal. Taylor drove the ball into Hernández and not Hernández using his hand to control the ball. Anyway it hit his chest not his hand. Rooney never kicked the NUFC lad but the ball then missed the ball after it was kicked away but did not strike anyone. Yes the Utd players surrounded the ref and it shouldn't have happened just like that prat shouldn't have ran some distance to enflame the situation that the ref with the cooperation of player from both sides had dealt with.
Finally the Hernández offside goal! He was level when the ball was played by Giggs. Carrick never touched the ball. It was another bad decision.

Try watching the game objectively next time.

Crappy thread.
I'd expect this kind of hysteria if it was us getting a decision like that but we should be able to take these things on the chin.

We had a chance or two to make it 2-0 before the penalty and plenty afterwards - teams that win things overcome bad decisions, they don't whinge about them.
City didn't take advantage so I don't expect us to get hung up about it and instead look towards winning at Villa next weekend after a reserve team run out against Palace midweek.

As for Rooney, the 2nd kick was a bit late and probably deserved a yellow (nowhere near making contact with anything). Collocini was cool about it and only Ben Arfa charging from the other end of the pitch turned it into an 'incident'.

Hernandez was marginally off, enough to give him an advantage, no. United escaped a possible red and two or three definate yellows, the ref let a lot go. United got more decisions than they didn't it was just tyhat the pen was a big one they didn't get. All in all wasteful in front of goal on the day, blame that I think, no abuse here, watched the game, ref was in no way being stingy to United, lino fked up, but hey, so did Young, should have had 1 maybe 2 Hernandez should have had 2.

Fair enough matey should have been 3 points for United but for Hernandez having a well deserved bad day:) He's been great for ye since he arrived
