Sapiens by Yuval Harari. Worrying history of our species. Food for thought but not enough to go round.

I'm still reading 'The Decade' by Richard Gardham. I don't want to finish it too soon. I'll just say it's the best book on Hull City AFC, Iv'e ever read. I expect everyone on here has a copy, but if not, don't miss out.

As for literature, I'm thinking I want to re-read some old classics. Everything George Orwell wrote, that stuff really got my mind working in my youth. Iv'e still got my hardback of, Carl Sagan's Cosmos. Some of it went over my head the first time and I'd find myself turning back pages because I'd not grasped it which is always worth doing that if your'e fascinated by something.

I just wish I didn't keep nodding off every time Iv'e read twenty pages or so. I suppose it's my age :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I am currently reading the Hull City Southern Supporters travel guide 2019/20. It's got quite a few pages with words and maps and information about pies . Essential reading, and guess what - I am not even a Southerner.

Read the latest book by David Young whilst on holiday earlier this year.
His first was touted on here and in the intro bit he mentioned he was. Hull City supporter...that allegiance seems to have disappeared in his latest (fourth)

No, Dez, it's an account of his writing career - Hell's Angels; Fear and Loathing (In Las Vegas and On The Campaign Trail); his meeting and adventures with Ralph Steadman; his running for election as Sheriff; and such.
It's not a huge read, but it's interesting (and great)
