It's not just about the manager though. Moyes was out of his depth but perhaps should have been given time to build his own team. LVG just played cumbersome, pointless possession football. Mourinho may be defensive, but at least the ethos is to move the ball forward. When I hear people (especially pundits) compare his football to LVG's style it's lazy analysis and completely brain dead.

So for me, it's a range of managers we've had and sometimes it's been the manager's fault, but sometimes it's the players. Today, it's been both. Mourinho should be playing his best 11 in their natural position (that means Pogba is NOT an attacking midfielder) and Shaw plays at LB. But nevertheless the players need to take a lot of blame. They've been gutless. I can't fault the Chelsea team, they've been brilliant in both attitude and ability. We've been pathetic in attitude and ability.

I thought you said Mou would not be defensive at United, and would adjust his tactics to suit the club?

Why is £68m Martial not starting? He was your best player to watch from a neutral perspective last season

A lot of cash for a bench warmer. We'all buy him for £35m
No idea. You know Mourinho better than I do. His team selections are very odd. He's currently hanging himself.

Surely he will be given a chance?

He has brought it 4 top players in ibra. Micky Bailey loggers.

We'd take all those players at Chelsea
He will get a chance but it's bizarre that he's seemingly deliberately handicapping the team.

Would you have Fellaini at Chelsea? If by some unfortunate circumstance he ended up there, would you want him in the starting XI?

No.....i'd rather have herpes.

The way we have been set up in the last few games has left Ibra rather isolated with very few direct chances on goal with the exception of a few speculative headers. I would like him to drop back a little, to play behind Rashford with Martial and Lingard either side of him.

Ibra is still world class man, even now.
His turn and shot when he was marked so closely was great, but luckily T-Bone was able to get down and save it.

The problem, since Fergie left and Ferdinand and Vidic left, is, has and always has been, your defence.
LvG did a decent job compensating for it by not letting your team leave your own half.
And some of the personnel added to the defensive position has looked promising, (like Shaw and Blind).
But ultimately, Smalling is not good enough, Rojo isn't good enough, Valencia is not a right back, and Pogba is being played too far forward.

Again, another United manager coming in and tinkering with a defence loaded with ****ty personnel. You need to buy at least one CB and a RB in January or you may miss out on top 4.

Chelsea are having similar problems. JT is still very good but is past his best, Luiz is too maverick for my liking, and I have never rated Cahill as much as some others as he is far too inconsistent, and Zouma has been injured and Christensen is inexplicably still out on loan.
But Conte switched the formation to compensate and the results have come in, 3 games, 3 wins, 9 goals scored, 0 conceded.
Mourinho is being stubborn.....again.

Yup, mostly Spurs and Liverpool fan.....again....
The ******ation always seems to be coming from their corners.
Namely Astro, Sky and HIAG.

Sky is all tongue firmly in cheek. I'm surprised ppl think he's being remotely serious. The rest I agree with but then, the other two are completely delusional.

What are you on about? <laugh>

Go back and read my comparison of him at RM with United. Then tell me where I've said he's not defensive. Have you actually watched him play at Real Madrid? Simple question which you never respond to. Are you saying he didnt adapt to play a more expansive, attacking game built on a solid defence while at RM? I doubt I'll get an answer again but I simply ask to expose your ignorance.

I love that Chelsea have been written off.
A whole whopping 1 point off the top of the league, with the second best goal difference with 29 games to go <laugh>
It's too early to write off even United in my opinion, let alone Chelsea.

HIAG : "You wont have an easier game than Chelsea"

Astro: "Chelsea won't bother us this season"

Nothing sweeter than watching Astro crash and burn by the end of the season <laugh>

What I didn't take fully into account is just how utterly ****e United have become!

To be fair to United, even Burnley could have put a couple past them, in that match. They were appallingly bad.

Anyone else seen the news about The Smug One having a pop at Conte on the touchline, after Chelsea scored their 4th goal? Apparently, Mourhino went crying to Conte, in Italian, and begged him not to humiliate him with his touchline antics.

Conte's reply was:

“I was a football player, so I know how to behave on the pitch."

Ouch! or what!
